I am going with Xzavier Dickson for Bama. Can play DE or OLB and must provide up field pressure/presence for us to establish the line of scrimmage and containment.

I think Bama needs the young cbs to step up. Bama always has a stout front seven. almost every bama loss ,since 2010, has been because of secondary issues.

Landon Collins, Jeoffrey Pagan, and Ryan Kelly.

-Mike Davis
-Shaq Roland and/or Shamier Jeffery to go along with Bruce Ellington at WR
-Linebackers.. must have someone step up, however I have confidence in the guys filling the new spots this year.

Brandon Allen. If we're gonna have any success in year 1 of the Bielema era, our QB is gonna need to show up

Front 7 is a question mark. Need a pass rusher to emerge. Alonzo Williams, Julian Obioha or Deshon Hall if he plays. All DEs.

On offense, most LSU fans will say Mett but I think the WRs need to step up.
On defense, it has to be the DEs

On defense, clearly the entire young linebacker position. IMO our DL and DB units will be stout to spectacular, but what will make or break our defense again being a top defense will be how fast our LBs settle in...
On offense, several areas: Our RB and WR positions need to have players rise to the occasion. In both cases there's no specific person that needs to be named as it could be one of any, but it's still important.
At RB, we'll have proven rs-So. Wilds (486 yds, 3 TD in 107 att in '11, rushed for 97 ypg and scored 3 TDs in a 4-gm stretch at end of '11) who missed last season to a high-ankle strain, and true So. Davis (275 ypg, 2 TD in 52 att) competing for the top job. Both may share the load around 50-50/60-40 for most of the season, or could lose the job to one of several other talented backs on the roster. Need to remain healthy this season, as the last 2 seasons the unit was ravaged...
At WR we'll have returning true-Jr. veterans Ellington (600 yds in 40 rec., 7 TD) and Byrd (366 yds in 14 rec., 3 TD) to anchor the unit. Also return true So. Roland (80 yds in 5 rec., 1 TD) plus rs-Fr. Fuller and Smith who are expected to factor in.
With the veteran QB Shaw throwing to experienced Ellington and co., I expect the passing offense to improve over last season, and from comments made this off-season so does Coach Spurrier. At RB the talent is definitely there plus a degree of experience. In both cases, if our OL plays as expected they will have opportunities to improve over last season's offensive production, which was among the best under Spurrier at USC....
