I enjoyed C-stat last year. Rudy's was pretty good BBQ and northgate was surprisingly awesome. Best bar scene outside of Athens, however I haven't been to Oxford.

They are exactly the same. One have slaw and one had p salad. The chicken, batter, sauce, and fries are the same.

Yea I am not going to lie CStat gets a lot of shite on here but it is actually not to bad of a college town. I went for the LSU game and I had a blast. Tailgating wasn't all that great but North Gate is the shite in terms of decent food and a great bar scene. I'd put it one notch under UGA, Bama, and Ole Miss of top road trips I have been to.

If you want Texas BBQ go to Fargo's in Bryan it's one of the best places in the state.

Eta: I see Fargo's was already mentioned. Good, that place is delicious.

Hopefully in 2014 it isn't at 11 am. That was a crime against humanity and it makes a huge difference. We aren't as big of an after the game tailgate crowd, I usually head to the bars

Layne's, very similar to Cane's, but the sauce is a good change-up.

Best place for a Sunday Mimosa is probably Cafe Eccel, they have a good brunch.

In Texas though I'm a fan of getting Tex Mex for breakfast, either Migas or Heuvos Rancheros.

For regular dining I like J Cody's for steak or Ribs, they have a great side buffet as well. Koppe Bridge is also excellent for a good burger. Wings and More is hard to beat for Wings (Go Xtra Hot, Xtra Garlic, Xtra Wet).

Christophers is the best fine dining.

Always cracks me up when folks talk about CS like it is a tiny town, the metro is 225k and they have just about anything you could want.
