Every time I think they may have a good segment, they go on a tangent about some shite completely unrelated.

They try to imitate the best sports radio station of all time... The Ticket. It is an impossibly high standard.

I'm confused as to why they even brought up 97.3. I know there was speculation he was going there so maybe that's why they mentioned it. This seems like two different stories, but whatever. Also, Finebaum will be just going back to 94.5 the same station he was in a lawsuit with for months and months and Birmingham will be back to only having one sports channel to listen to? .

It's kind of funny. He snubbed one of the companies (Clearchannel? I can't remember) that owned the local affiliate who he had a contract with in order to get a bigger contract with ESPN who will....put him on the local affiliate owned by the company which he snubbed. I'm guessing they will have the exact same line up they had before Paul left, which is a good thing sans Jay and Al's show. I hate that show.

The Zone was absolute shite sports radio . The sports czars were like listening to 3 rednecks fighting over the one semi average skank in the trailer park

The midday mass is boring. Two Dallas guys who probably couldn't cut it in a major market and resorted to bham to be relevant

Not totally correct.

Finebaum will not have his “ Finebaum radio network ” with 25 to 30 stations , mostly in Alabama , but also in Miss. Georgia , Florida , Tenn. Arkansas and Louisiana.

A lot of the smaller stations that carried the PFRN will probably not anymore , unless they are affiliated with ESPN.

Jim dunaway is the best sports personality in Birmingham and might be one of the best in the SEC. Always liked is takes . CBS 42 -bham does an awesome job as well covering the sec.

Might have just got callers from La. from Sirus , seemed like he might have been on in Siddell or however you spell it.

HEY GUYS about Jox 94.5 would this work out ?

Barker and the kicker from 6 to9.
The Dallas duo from 9 to 11

The Roundtable from 11 to 2
FINEBAUM 2-6 ?

What say you all ?

Yep. The more things change...

I really don't listen to the OD with Jay, Al and Tony very much. Occasionally, when I would in the past, if someone offered a little bit of criticism, Tony and Al would get their feelings hurt and go off on the caller. Usually Tony would just yell them off the phone. Jay is only there about 20 percent of the time it seems and spends most of his time censoring Tony.

Agree with all of that. He's a Bama homer and admits it, but he does a good job of covering everyone pretty fairly. Their show has a good mix of funny with it too.

I know , thats why I reduced them from 4 hours to 3 !! Should I make the Dallas show 3 hours and reduce the OD to 2 hours......

In Birmingham, it is expected to air weekdays in its regular 2 to 6 p.m. time slot

so that means WNSP will likely carry the Finebaum show from 2-4pm like they used to down here in Mobile.

great.

can't tell you how excited I am....

OT: Did you go to Fbaums forum on Saturday at 16th Street Baptist Church? I didnt make but I was hoping there would be an article or something that recapped how it went

Back on topic, I want the old schedule back on Jox and would be okay if they replaced the Opening Drive with Scarbinsky or either put the Texas guys in that spot. I cant stand to listen to Barker, DelGreco, or Kurre

frick i was enjoying the roundtable from 2-4 down here in mobile. pissed that finebaum will be back trashing shite up. now if only we could get rid of that god awful fox sports daybreak show (that comes on from 12-2 in the afternoon) and the local morning show with shirvanian and that other asshat.
