And this season the LSU Tigers also have to play Georgia (on the road) and Florida (at home) from the SEC East. Those two teams were a combined 14-2 in SEC play last season and will both be preseason top 10 in 2013.

Alabama, by contrast, has to play Kentucky and Tennessee from the other division. Those two teams were a combined 1-15 in conference play last season.

SEC East 1992-2001
Rank School SEC Record
1 Florida 69-11
2 Tennessee 63-16-1
3 Georgia 44-35-1
4 S. Carolina 28-51-1
5 Kentucky 22-58
6 Vanderbilt 10-70
SEC West 1992-2001
Rank School SEC Record
1 Alabama 52-27-1
2 Auburn 45-33-2
3 Miss. State 37-42-1
4 LSU 36-43-1
5 Arkansas 35-43-2
6 Ole Miss 34-46
Seems Florida has had the easiest schedule since expansion the first decade. While the "rivalry" schools had the toughest. It's just now balancing out.

I wonder if this thread would have been made if UGA sucked and Tenn was good.

If it was about fairness, we would go back to 10 teams. Everybody play everybody in a 9 game SEC schedule.

The incessant bitching about it is hilarious to me knowing Kentucky routinely plays one of the toughest schedules in the country and gets the shite end of the stick on our rotating West opponent every season (I think we're up there in again as one of the highest in the SEC and country this season too). But fans, players, and coaches just STFU and DWI.

I'm sort of surprised at the amount of butthurt from LSU fans. Have a little pride.
