Ole Miss fan.

I've had the internet name of Doresrules since HS. Lafayette High School Commodores from Oxford, MS.

My fault "their", didn't think my 3rd grade teacher was on this board correcting my improper use of words...

The only positive for Arkansas in this game is the home field advantage.

That's hardly the only advantage. Malzahn was 1-2 against Petrino defenses, and his only win was with Cam. Bielema will put a much better defensive product on the field than Petrino ever did.

We've smoked Auburn the past two years, so players on both sides have certain expectations.

As for the talent level, well it certainly wasn't the coaching that led to the 24-7 drubbing at Auburn last year. We had better players, and still do.

It'll be funny watching Arky drift back to irrelevancy. Petrino leaves nothing in his wake

Arkansas will easily finish last in the west this year.

I gotta say I agree. They lost a lot.

Plus their schedule is brutal. Winning a conference game will be impressive.

again, time will tell... but that's certainly up for debate. Pretty much all of your offensive product from last year is gone, and we all know the defense is lacking.

I do agree however... Beilema will eventually have a good defense.

No, it's definitely the only advantage.

Did you watch those games? The Arkansas passing offense won the games against poor Auburn pass defenses.

Maybe eventually, but not in year 1. I do expect a bit of improvement in the first year, though.

Congratulations on beating 1 terrible Auburn team, and 1 "meh" Auburn team that was rebuilding after a national championship (while also replacing around 18-19 starters).

Go ahead and mention that Arkansas lost their best offensive players from last year. I've already listed them, now you should acknowledge their departure. They were the only reason Arkansas won last season. Auburn's offense beat themselves every game, mainly because Gene Chizik handcuffed an already mediocre offensive coordinator.

No, you don't.

So your only reason for thinking Auburn will beat Arkansas is that the team we beat last year was terrible.

Gotta say, I'm not convinced.

7-5 regular season, definitely possible. The rushing attack will be good, and the defense should be much improved.

Most of your post was opinion and conjecture.

You don't think Bielema's defense will be good enough to beat Malzahn, even though much shittier defenses have held him in check. Willy fricking Robinson beat Malzahn twice.

Yeah, it's Gus Malzahn's fault that the Auburn defense gave up 44 points in 2009, 43 in 2010, and 38 again in 2011. But yeah, Billy Badass, let's blame this all on Gus Malzahn's offense!

We should've won all 3 of those games, and not just 1!

His offense averaged 34 points a game in 3 years against Arkansas.

We also had the worst defense in the league.

Bielema is a more defense oriented guy.
