If we are going to add teams, I'd go with UNC and either UVA or OU. UNC is the no brainer choice. Then I would be fine with either UVA or OU at 16.

If we are talking about kicking 2 teams out, I'm going with Mizzou and MSU. The state of Mississippi is too small to have two schools, so one needs to go. And Mizzou is an easy choice for me since they are new, haven't really proven anything competitively yet, and are a cultural outliner. I think we need to keep aTm no matter what, if for no other reason than having a school from the state of Texas.

Anyone but VA Tech.
I would think 2 eastern teams would be better and move Mizzou west.

SMU (Dallas market), Hawaii (great away trips), or Kansas (good in basketball).

To heck with Oklahoma and Florida State--I don't want any more teams State can't beat in football. What's already here, especially in the West, is tough enough.

Many of the rest of you should be thinking the same thing. A lot of SEC teams would have another loss or two if they replaced any team on their schedule from the bottom half of the SEC with Oklahoma and/or Florida State. Those two are already strong programs, and will only get stronger in the SEC.

Another loss or two--imagine your top SEC team slipping from a BCS bowl to CapOne or CapOne down to Peach, etc.

You can tolerate 10-2 or 9-3, but what if adding tough teams drops you to 8-4 or 7-5? Wouldn't be long before you're trying to get rid of your coach, etc., upsetting your whole program. You NEED some weaker teams in the SEC. Can't all be great teams, and none of the other conferences are like that.

no.... stop saying Oklahoma.... they didn't secede in the 1860s (still a territory then), they don't get in.

Kick Mizzou out of SEC and add UNC and Duke in the East.

Add La. Tech in the West. (that should piss off the LSU dynasty in Louisiana)

I like to see 2 of these teams:

One from each group. Listed from most wanted to least wanted.

Group A
1.UNC
2. NC State
3. Duke

Group B
1. Virginia
2. Clemson
3. Virginia Tech

Wacky Wildcard List

1. Okie State
2. SMU
3. Rice
4. Georgia Tech
5. TCU
6. FSU
7. OU

If I had my choices:

1A.UNC & Virginia
Or
1B.NC State & Virgina

It's gonna be either NC State or UNC from NC and either UVA or VA Tech from Virginia.

The question is, who is more preferable from each state?

Strayer University - East
University of Phoenix - West

would give the SEC a foothold in all 50 states.

I would like to see it divided based on division....SEC West should get to pick a team, and SEC East should get to pick a team

Slive has said he wants to expand to the East. Two teams from there and Mizzou to the West. The ACC grant of rights probably put an end to this most likely though.
