I am so glad that we didn't take that game. Seriously, an OOC of Bama, at Virginia and Tenn. No thank you.

Maybe you'll get a chance when the playoffs come around.

If I was Oregon I'd much rather play the 2014 Bama team than the 2013 Bama team, but if Oregon makes it to Pasadena we'll be there waiting.

DAT may have to retire early though.

We'll see. I really don't see DAT being a typical primary back. A lot of Ducks are thinking that Thomas Tyner could be a productive true frosh back. He goes 5'11" 220 and Marshall, the current backup, is 210.

All I know is that if Tavon Austin is a first round pick, top ten at that, NFL teams should jump at the chance to snag DAT.

Oregon wasn't going to play that game breaking in two new guards. Our top 3 guards from last year are being replaced with Long going #20 in the draft and Clanton repping 40+ on the 225. We lost some beef at guard. The new guys are highly touted but they will be better served starting against Nicholls State in their first starts.

Great, that doesn't make them better than what Oregon has

Yeah, it does.

It really, really does. Marcus Mariota is a stud and, as a freshman, was in the top 5 of QBs all year last year. DAT is a game changer, and whether he lines up at RB or WR he is one of the best on the field. He has 32 total TD's already, and that's not mentioning his return ability. Josh Huff has had a solid career so far and will have a breakout year.

I feel ya there, felt the same way in 2011. We played y'all and West Virginia... Not to mention Bama and Tennessee also haha. I'm all about great games, but there's a limit.

Especially considering that a loss eliminates us from any NC hope.

I would love to see Huff breakout this year. He has all the tools. Oregon's WR corp is the best I've seen in a long time.

Golson sucks and probably still has nightmares of Miami. Mariota? Oregon wouldn't play us on a neutral field, der scuuuurrrred.

Everett Golson is FAR more indicative of Manziel than Logan Thomas is.

Mariota is a different type of quarterback. Mariota's rushing yardage came from designed runs.

3/4 of Manziel's rushing yardage came from PASSING PLAYS in which Manziel scrambled after he went through his reads.

I dunno. If you want a guy to make the opponent's secondary look foolish and run right past them for a TD, then Cooper is your guy. (And FWIW, if AJ had not underthrown Cooper that pass was going for an easy TD - if you watched the game you know what

pass I'm talking about.) If you want a guy to make incredible leaping plays (ask Ole Miss) and knock the crap out of DB's

>

then Evans is your guy. I'd be happy with either, but I like the guy we have. But you're right: I don't know if either is worthy of Julio or Green comparisons - yet.

Not sure the benefit of showing off his mad facemask skills...

Is this a debate based on PRODUCTION?

AJ McCarron - 2 National Title rings, 1 SEC Title ring
Johnny Manziel - 1 Heisman trophy

TJ Yeldon - 1 National Title ring, 1 SEC Title ring
Marena - No rings, no trophies

Amari Cooper - 1 National Title ring, 1 SEC Title ring
Evans - No rings, no trophies

From my perspective, Alabama wins in all 3 categories. I'm not sure where all this debate is coming from...

I separated out their passing and rushing. Stats prove AJ was a better passer (he was the best passer in the nation - lead the nation in passing efficiency which is when they combine all the passing stats to see which QB is most likely to lead his team to a national championship).

Well I wish there was serious discussion going on. Your passer efficiency argument has the intelligence of a prepubescent child, male or female. If you actually believe that, if not you're probably just a normal gumo. I wish there were less of those kinds of posts. But it is whatever. Gumps be gumpin.
