But if you had to choose, which one is it?

I am just saying he is a better passer, not a better cfb player (obviously he didn't win the heisman last year). I think passing efficiency is a really good stat to prove that.

Why? Why is that a valuable metric? Have you ever even seen how it is calculated? What was AJ's passer rating against A&M? Because I know he wasn't the better passer that day.

Mariota ran the ball half as much as Manziel. He did get a lot of yards scrambling. The system at Oregon is different more than they are different qbs. I think both qbs could play in different offenses. Mariota got inquiries from all kinds of schools once he became a known quantity in high school.

I don't think a lot of people are in here claiming that AJ had a better day than JFF when they played. Hell, I don't think a lot of people are claiming he had a better season (statistically speaking).

All we are saying is ESPN said Bama had a better combo of top three than ATM. Several ATM people were saying this can't be true because JFF >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>AJ. We are saying it's more like JFF > AJ.

At the end of the day, ESPN said ATM had the second best top three combo in the entire county. It's not an insult to put you behind the two-time defending Champ.

AJ's QB rating against A&M was 136.0

Manziel's was 167.3

He verballed to Oregon but got the in state offer - nothing to with an arrest. We had Randall (lsu) and pulled his.

Aaaaaahhh ok I forgot how it went down

Interesting wonder how ridiculous he would've been for Kelly at Oregon

And what about that makes you think it is a fair metric? Only 20% better? Ridiculous. If that was a fair metric AJ should have had a negative passer rating that game.

Honestly, I like Mariota. I like his even keeled temperment. I would not be surprised with 75% completion percentage.

Far more ridiculous than he is at TAMU. Far more.

When did he emerge as the guy for Oregon?

I ask because I'm curious if JFF would have gotten the nod at Oregon this year. He didn't come on until August camp. Did Mariota have the Oregon job locked up before then?

I think Chip Kelly would've had a much different gameplan to utilize JFF's running and agility, but you also have to take into account the defenses he would've been facing at Oregon, other than Stanford, are a good bit worse

He would've been pretty much unstoppable

Bryan Bennett was the incumbent and had experience. Coaching staff used the word special when talking about Mariota. Duck fans close to the program were saying once in a generation qb while he was redshirting. Many speculated Darron Thomas took a shot at the pros because he saw the writing on the wall. Mariota was pulled very early in a lot of games due to blowouts.

Now you are just being ridiculous. We all are saying JFF had a better day when they played but its not like AJ was horrible. Hell if TJ doesn't fumble, AJ probably wins the Heisman.

And if A&M makes their field goals against Florida they win the Natty. Is that how it works?

Exactly, that is why no Bama tard is saying:

Bama 12' >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ATM 12'
