Auburn will lead the second tier behind Bama, LSU, and A&M.

His defenses will be the deciding factor.

Depends on what an individual's idea of good or bad is. If 8-4..9-3 is good then yes he will do well. If 8-4..9-3 isn't good then he won't do well. I don't see another championship be it SEC or National, as I believe his teams will be heavy offense and average-below average defense. The fanbase will grow weary of not getting over the hump and he will either be let go in 4-5 years, or move on to an Arizona st or Virginia type program. Saban will blister his arse as he has done most coaches.

Gus has a tough job. He needs to win now. Long term, well, nothing lasts forever. He'll win more than he loses.

Nah man, we've got nothing left. Only old Mother Hubbard and Vaughn in the cupboard.

Not trying to flame but much of this also depends on the NCAA follow-up of a recent report I would think.

I bet he is there for 5 years minimum. Slowly builds Auburn back up.

One the surface to someone uneducated on the subject of Auburn recruiting yes.

Truth of the matter is. Attrition took way more than it's fair share of those players.

From the 2010 class, we didn't have any of the three 5 stars we signed on the 2012 team, for example.
