ETA: I don't think it is even worth ranking the new hires since we do not know how they will turn out. Also, UGA fans, I am not knocking Richt, but I would rather rank a guy who has won a Natty ahead of him.

Things that are ridiculous:
1. Les Miles being behind Sumlin, Franklin, and Mullen.
2. Bret Bielema being above Will Muschamp.
3. TideSatchel's arguments in this thread.
Things that are slightly less ridiculous, but still silly:
1. Les Miles being behind Mark Richt.
2. Dan Mullen being ahead of Will Muschamp and Hugh Freeze.
3. Saban having to occupy a list like this. There should be another list with ONLY Saban's name on it.

Worst list I've ever seen...

Nick Saban and Steve Spurrier are future HOF coaches, so I don't have a problem with either on this list. I think you could probably make an argument that Spurrier could even be #1, given what he has accomplished at Florida and South Carolina, bringing both programs to national prominence.
Mark Richt above Miles seems wrong to me. He hasn't done anything of note since 2005. I would think Les Miles deserves the #3 spot, given his 2007 national title and recent SEC title.
What's the best team Vandy has beaten since Franklin has been coach? His best wins this year were against 7-6 teams Ole Miss and NC State, and he didn't beat a single team with a winning record in 2011. IMO, he's benefited from some very weak schedules.
Anyways, most of the rest of the coaches haven't done enough for us to really rank them yet.
Although, Muschamp went 11-2 last year with no offense and against one of the toughest schedules in the country, including beat 4 coaches on this list ranked above him.
So clearly, I think #10 is way too low for him.
I'll say:
1. Saban
2. Spurrier
3. Miles
4. Richt
5. Muschamp
6. Sumlin
7t. Franklin/Freeze
9. BB
10. Pinkel
11. Mullen

In that list, I would swap Mullen and Freeze and swap Bielema and Muschamp.

You guys seem to keep the same theme.
Miles is too low and Mullen too high.
It's true, the talent level at State just is not on par with the rest of the SEC and Starkville just isn't the destination of choice.
The people that put this list together said that Mullen did a better job at State than Miles did at LSU. I respect their opinion but it's slap in the face of my beloved Bulldogs. You win a national championship at one place and the other.... I guess State is just a dump that Saban, the Bear and Lombardi would suck.
Mullen should be lower but I am not ready to part ways. I truly "believe" he can figure this thing out given the right players! shite! Yeah, I said it. "I believe!"
