During this 7-year run of national champions, what are your top five SEC teams to NOT win it all?
Here are mine:
1. 2011 LSU
2. 2007 UGA
3. 2009 UF
4. 2010 Ark
5. 2012 aTm/USCe
ETA: '12 SC for GarnetWay

Identical record as SC. Both beat our division champs. They did it on the road, we did it at home. Both lost to the same teams. They lost to them at home, we lost to them on the road.

I considered it, but Florida just OBLITERATED y'all. And it was late in the season.

Ok I get it now. Def LSU in '11. If things would have went the way they should have then we had the NC locked up.

Yeah and we obliterated UGA who beat UF and nearly took home the SECCG.

Well, you didnt have a heisman winner on your team.

With a few more hits like the one they had on Jan. 1st, they may end up with one.

For reference, here's a list of the 10+ win teams in the SEC from 2006-2013 that didn't win the national championship.
2006: Arkansas, Auburn, LSU
2007: Georgia, Tennessee
2008: Alabama, Georgia
2009: Florida
2010: Arkansas, Alabama, LSU
2011: LSU, Georgia, Arkansas, South Carolina
2012: Florida, Georgia, Texas A&M, South Carolina, LSU
In my opinion, the only teams really in the discussion are 06 LSU, 07 Georgia, 08 Alabama, 09 Florida, 11 LSU, 11 Arkansas, and 12 Georgia.
I'm going with:
1. 2011 LSU
2. 2009 Florida
3. 2006 LSU
4. 2007 Georgia
5. 2012 Georgia
I'm pretty confident in 1-3, Dawg fans can correct me on whether 07 UGA > 12 UGA or not.

LSU 2011 going away. 2010 Bama had tons of talent but obviously took that year off. There were what eight first round picks on that team between those thAt came out that year and the next. Georgia last year was a great team but that is based off of their offensive performance against us and our defense last was imo our worst of the three championship team's. Out of the time frame given but 2004 AU would be second on my list if we were not talking about the specific time frame in the OP.

How many on that list did?
And as mentioned Clowney finished 6th in the Heisman voting pre-Michigan hit. Post-hit he has the recognition that he needs to get it this upcoming season if he has another good season.
eta: I hate that they postponed the beginning of the A&M-SC series. Missed out on their last chance to see Manziel vs Clowney.

Hell imagine how much TV firepower that game loses just for missing out on that game.
2013: Manziel vs Clowney
2014: No Clowney I'm almost certain and Manziel might leave as well.

Solid post. I agree with the teams in the top 5, but I would rearrange the order a bit. I would swap 2006 LSU and 2007 UGA

And you struggled against a Michigan team Alabama obliterated earlier in the year.

2012 USCe was a very good team, but let's get a reality check. 2012 A&M lost two very close games to LSU and Florida, two teams that in a normal year would be in BCS games. They beat Alabama IN Tuscaloosa and crushed a good Oklahoma team in the bowl game.
USCe did crush UGA, but they weren't that close in either of their losses and they squeaked out a win by the seat of their pants against Michigan in the bowl game. These two teams weren't the same.
And 2011 LSU dwarfs all. They had a better resume going into the BCS title game than most national champions in other years.
