Good for the Aubies. I know a lot of people think "it's just a tree", " throwing toilet paper at trees is stupid", etc but it's a tradition so let them have it. I mean if we go through every tradition at each of our schools, I'm sure there would be some ridicule too. The whole thing of some nut case from a rival school "killing" the tradition because he couldn't handle the fact that his team lost, is much more ridiculous than toilet papering a tree. Traditions are what make college football so much more interesting than the pro game, visiting a rival's campus & seeing some of their traditions has always been one of the things I love about road games.
Good post. I agree.
I'm glad I was able to be there and witness before Updyke ruined them

I'll probably watch it for the sake of SEC nostalgia

Just fricking buy some new ones and plant them. In five years nobody will give a shite that some Alabama inbred killed them.

It's amazing LSU and UGA fans are able to overcome the death of their mascots but Auburn can't get over the death of a few trees among their countless mascots/traditions, etc.

Have a friend in Montgomery who has two of the trees he raised from acorns. Neet for him.
