Anyone who knows anything about football should know that the Alabama/Tennessee rivalry goes WAY back before Fulmer. What he did just made it worse. Coach Bryant played against UT with a broken leg and back then it was one of the most competitive rivalries in college football. Bama fans hate Auburn, but we despise UT.

Hell, Alabama and Auburn didn't even play each other for over 40 years ('07-'48). Tennessee and Georgia Tech were Alabama's arch enemies during those times and that carried over until Coach Bryant ran Geo. Tech/Bobby Dodd out of the SEC. That just left Tennessee, so there you go!

We used to respect UT. A lot. Then Phil Fulmer went secret witness against UA (illegal under NCAA bylaws and the little fact that UT boosters also were bidding on the player involved). Fulmer went holier than thou all the while UT was just as guilty as Bama, they just got outbid (UT offered $70k for the player).
Bama gets hammered by the NCAA. 6 years of lost later, we get Saban. Greatest coach of all time and are running a train through everyone now. And are in the middle of the greatest dynasty in NCAA history. So, in the words of one Chris Rainey:
"Time to die, bitches."
Nailed it.
Skipping SEC Media days because you don't want to get a subpoena and be forced to testify under oath is pretty damning.

What sparks the hatred? Curious.
Because they are jealous of the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry, much like anything else that has to do with Auburn, so they desperately cling to an out of state rivalry game against a bordering state so they don't feel upstaged.

That orange is the most beautiful color in the world. The color of the flowers on The Hill in spring, the color of the mountains in the fall.
Now bamas menstruation colored red, not so beautiful.
Hell, even the Tennessee river hates alabama. It steps in for a bit and says, screw this I'm heading back to Tennessee.
I respect the alabama football program. I just hate that ugly dilapidated state and their trash fans.

Hey, get out of this thread.
I hate Bama, but the majority of their fans are 100 times classier than Florida fans. Not always, but most of the time.

It goes back years. GA Tech and UT were Bama's biggest rivals. They suspended the Auburn game for decades because of fights. The fight song originally read: "put those yellow jackets in a watery grave".

Because they got caught cheating.

Not sure what that has to do with me hating bama or the fact UT orange is the best color ever, but thanks for posting the obvious.

Has our fight song changed since the last time I heard it?
