Ole Miss returns all the starters from a bad defense. That doesn't impress anyone.

Were they all starters?

Yeah...players generally don't improve. Good point.

Nobody is saying the can't improve, but you have to admit that especially your secondary sucks.
Bad players don't just become good players. Ole Miss ranked 11/14 in the SEC in pass D last year. Pretty bad.

Ive simply pointed to our much thinner team coming into your house and being a play or 2 away from beating the #7 team in the country.
If every Ole Miss team that played closer with LSU than the records and rankings suggested they should meant that the LSU coach was outcoached, then pretty much every Ole Miss coach in history was better than pretty much every LSU coach in history, which begs an obvious question...

So LSU dominates in VHS right? Hell y'all's defense will be dominant they'll be lucky to score 7

In recent history, we've done better there than in Tiger Stadium, but history doesn't mean much about this year. Ole Miss, like Arkansas, always gets up for their game with LSU, save for 2011 when they had long since folded the tent. It should be another tough game that we will likely win.

Who said that losing that amount of players will make us better? I will say this that losing some of those players were not a bad thing. They are younger and more hungry players that are waiting to step up and "hopefully" produce. Lets look at some of the JR's that left shall we:
Sam "I take plays off" Montgomery = Was not a super star and played well below his potential IMO.
Mingo = Played well at times
Eric Reed = Had a terrible year.
Chris Faulk = Got hurt so no big loss.
Minter = Had a great year and will be missed but we are stacked at LB.
Simon = Got torched all year and should have came back but glad he is gone.(younger more talented players waiting to get playing time).
Logan = Was a force at times but never dominated all year long like Fairly lets say did.
Ford & Ware = Mehhhh, we are loaded at RB's.
Wing = Had a down year for him and his back up will be better than he was.

It should be a tight game. With LSU losing so much and Ole Miss basically returning everyone. Unless Bro Wallace's shoulder is fricked up. Then Ole Miss is completely boned.

You've beaten us 3 times in the last 12 years. Not a good winning percentage. Ole Miss = LSU's bitch.

bad defense.
We got things we need to improve but to call us a 'bad defense'? Speaking of homers
We were 11th in the country in sacks with 38 (2nd in the SEC) and 4th nationally in TFLs, averaging just under 8 TFLs per game (1st in SEC).

Yes but what bearing does that have on this year? You return just 5 starters on a unit that gave up 35. To say they don't have a chance is asinine. Homer

You gave up nearly 75 yds. per game more than LSU. I call that bad.

Notice where I said we need to improve in some areas. We return alot off a defense that made huge strides as the year went on.
Keep sleepin on us though. I promise you that opposing SEC coaches arent.

Our starting defensive end CJ Johnson was held out due to back issues.
