A 7-6 record and 1 good recruiting class is not enough to compensate for the decades of suckage. Vanderbilt has had better season"s" than Ole Miss
Until they at least contend for the West they're no different than State
Shh...you're going to make him cry.

How does anyone see their recovery taking shape?
History shows Auburn generally does not stay down for long.
LSU went from a 1 conference win team in 99 to Conference Champion 2 years later in 2001, so quick turnarounds in this league are not unheard of.
I AGREE MOST WHOLE HEARTEDLY POST OF THE EFFIN' YEARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

I wish we could be like UGA, always "competitive" but never win anything.

It'll be a long process. Might take years to recover from the mess Chizik left behind. They won't beat Bama or A&M for the next few years.

Auburn is the new Tennessee. Fire a Championship winning coach for a few tough years, hire a mid major one year wonder, you know the rest of the story.

Two coaching changes away from returning to even mediocrity.

We are already back on the right track. S&C has the power to do something now, we don't have two assistant coaches actively undermining the HC. I think the offense will see a drastic turnaround, the defense I'm just not sure. We "should" improve drastically, due to how bad we were, but how much is up in the air.
Either way we'll likely be breaking in a new QB. we have a lot of returning experience but coaching was suspect at several positions.
I suspect anywhere from 6-8 wins next year but it is way too early to talk about that. We are recruiting well we just need a coach to actually do something with the talent, namely win.

and teams like A&M and Ole Miss on the rise
It's not that hard for a program like Auburn to get where A&M and fricking Ole Miss got last year. Auburn won't be down long.

Gus is 9-3 as a head coach. What the hell do you know about anything. Same goes for the UGA fan. How do you know whether Auburn will compete or not.

I love how everyone thinks Auburn is done for because of 1 year...
Alabama: 0-10 in 1955, 2-7 in 1956, 2-7 in 1957, 3-8 in 2000
LSU: 3-7 in 1981, 2-9 in 1992, 3-8 in 1999
These are just some from the top of my head. Everyone has bad years. It may take a few years to come back from but I would hardly call that, "Auburn going into the shitter."

The point being that you do not expect us to lose to ULM?
