I've never been to an SEC away game, so I can't really discuss the gameday interactions. However, I did go into Knoxville in 05 with my FLA gear, and I found it was a little more difficult to talk football at times with the locals 
.

It all depends on you personal experience. I went to Ole miss once, and almost got into a fight with a drunk frat boy leaving the stadium. 20 minutes later I was drinking with OM Alumni in the Circle having a great time. Once fans reach a certain age, they are much more fun to hang out with and not get their jimmies rustled so easily. Of course that does not apply to the cocktail party. Just a different animal altogether. I bet Uga fans might be pretty decent in Athens, but I wouldn't know.

To be fair I think we do, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. We're considered the nicest and most hospitable fan bases by almost all of our opponents except 2.. Clemson and UGA. Though I suppose you could throw an NC school in there as well.
Any school we have a bad history with, and I mean more than just football wins and losses.

Most fans aren't bad.
The only fans I've ever really had issue with in person is some LSU fans.

This is the epitome of florida fans from what ive seen. they have some nice folks there too, but i just find it funny how many of them wear jorts still.

it's not too much different. if you can handle a little friendly banter you'll be fine, and you'll prolly get some pretty good food and plenty of drink to drown out all our idiots anyway.

Worst visiting fans=Alabama. Very patronizing even when they travel.
Worst home fans=LSU. In small groups they are ok but the hord mentality takes them swiftly and sometimes I feel lucky to get to my car without an altercation. Kind of like the feeling one gets when their car breaks down in the wrong part of town
Surprisingly some of the best visiting fans I've ever witnessed are Auburn fans. I hate the whole sCam thing happened because I never had any discontent for them prior to that.
Least understood fans=UGA. Don't see them enough
