Well we lost 3-0 but I think we played pretty well. Charley Sullivan gave up 3 runs in the first inning but then threw 7 scoreless innings. We play the 9:30 game Thursday morning vs Ole Miss.

We have to be more consistent hitting the baseball.

LSU it is. Did we throw Turnbull today?

Yes. Today we will be starting Mike Oczypok who has a 4-1 record and a 3.73 ERA. LSU will throw Ryan Eades. He threw 4 innings against us early this year and allowed 5 runs on 8 hits. Good news for us is we have Jon Keller and Taylor Guilbeau ready to go out of the bullpen.

Full disclosure: I don't really pay attention because I really don't care much about college baseball, but we were playing on TV today and I decided to watch.

Anyway...does our manager frequently struggle with late game strategic decisions? Because he let a guy who has apparently been a reliever all season throw 120 pitches. That kid's arm was done after 100. The next 20 were all guts and adrenaline. He really didn't deserve to be tagged with the loss because he pitched a hell of a game. The fact that he was a freshman really bothers me too. You have to protect the guy's arm, especially if he's that young. Just a really piss poor final inning strategy all around IMO.

Well we lost heartbreaker of a game today. I do not think it is fair to blame Gaspard. Mike was throwing the game of his life out there. Yes we could have brought in somebody else but you do not know how he will do. Ray(our closer) has been walking guys lately. Our infield played outstanding turning I think 4 double plays. Roll Tide Roll and lets go win a regional!

I certainly thought he should've pulled him after the first single in the ninth, but for sure after the second one.

It was a strong showing this week though and we should be encouraged with how our young team handled a tournament situation moving forward. Now we have a week off to rest up before the regional.

We are a relatively young team so I am very happy for our future. We should make a regional as a 2 seed which is encouraging considering our middle infield are freshmen and our centerfield is a freshman. RTR

We're definitely going to be a two seed somewhere. For selfish reasons I hope we get sent to South Alabama, but it's starting to look like they won't host. We'll probably be sent to an ACC school, or hopefully Indiana.

Our RPI is at 25 today per Boyd's World.

We're in the Tallahassee regional which FSU is the #7 seed. We will play Troy first

That regional is paired up against the Bloomington regional. Florida is in that regional

Going to Tallahassee along with Savannah St and Troy. We'll play Troy Friday afternoon. After we win that regional we'll play the winner of the Indiana regional in the super regional.

I think we have a strong chance of winning that regional. We're playing really well right now, barring more bad pitching decisions in late innings.
