A little to much coffee this a.m., sorry guys .
A sweep against Vandy would put us at 9-19 again thest rpi top 50 (i think). A win on day one of the sec tournament might become critical.

We wrap up the regular season with a trip to Vanderbilt this weekend. This series, and all SEC series this weekend, plays Thursday-Saturday. Vandy is 46-6 overall and 24-2 in the SEC. They're ranked #1 or #2 depending on the poll, have already clinched the SEC regular season title, and will end the regular season with the best SEC record ever. They're pretty good. They do everything well, but their starting pitching is sick. The good news is that they're #1 in the RPI and regardless of what happens this weekend, our RPI at #40 will improve.
Pitching matchups for this weekend:
Thursday 6:30
Charley Sullivan (5-4, 3.06 ERA)
Walker Buehler (3-1, 2.46 ERA)
Friday 6:30
Spencer Turnbull (4-3, 3.62 ERA)
Keven Ziomek (10-2, 2.00 ERA)
Saturday 1:00
TBA
Tyler Beede (13-0, 1.73 ERA)

Alabama loses game 1 7-6 , despite hitting a grand slam in the top of the ninth.

At least it was not a blowout. That should give us some confidence going into tonight's game. I did not make the trip to Nashville but I will be watching the game tonight. Roll Tide Roll!

@AaronSuttles: Alabama beats No. 1 Vanderbilt 5-4 in the 10th inning. Huge win for Crimson Tide, one that all but clinches a NCAA Regional berth.

not gonna lie when i saw Vandy tied the game in the 8th I thought it was over. Glad we finally got a road win against a ranked team

and an extra inning win. We have not won many SEC extra inning games this year

Well obviously a huge win last night. It locks up a regional spot and helps with seeding in the SEC Tournament.
-Turnbull did a good job starting Friday. He needs to get going again and be are ace in the postseason
-Castillo got his 10th save of the season. Hopefully that will get him going again after having some bad outings lately
-Brett Booth appears to be in a slump. He has struggled the last couple of weeks and is 1 for 7 so far this weekend
-Taylor Wolfe pitched Thursday going 2 innings and giving up 1 run and 1 hit. He adds depth to are bullpen and is left handed which is good as well
Roll Tide Roll!

I've been down on this team at times this season, but as most have seen they lost 14-10. Everytime they faced a large deficit, they battled back. Vandy's ace didn't last 4 innings. Hopefully as its already been stated, maybe this team can carry this over to the tournament. We open with auburn.

Auburn is playing really well right now. They have won their last 3 series which were against Florida, Ole Miss, and Arkansas. Our offense really seems to being coming along well. Vanderbilts starting pitcher on Saturday was 13-0 in 13 starts. We got 6 runs on 8 hits in 3 and 2 thirds innings to give him his first no decision of the year. I think part of the reason we gave up 14 runs was because we threw Kamplain Friday in relief to get the win. The plan was if game 1 or 2 of the series was close Kamplain would come in,if not he would start Saturday.

Our RPI jumped from 40 to 28 after this weekend. We played very well and locked up a regional bid. Hopefully we can beat Auburn tomorrow because that'll guarantee us at least two more games in Hoover

I hope we can make a deep run in this tournament. Infield played out of their minds today.

That double play should be on Sports Center. Big game against LSU. Charlie Sullivan is starting today for us. Hopefully he can go 6 or 7 innings. Roll Tide Roll!
