Rank the best five year runs.
If your school is not listed, post their best five years in football.
1). Alabama 1961-1965
1961 - 11-0, National Champions
1962 - 10-1, top five finish
1963 - 9-2, top ten finish
1964 - 10-1, National Champions
1965 - 9-1-1, National Champions
2) Alabama 2008-2012
2008 - 12-2, top ten finish
2009 - 14-0, National Champions
2010 - 10-3, top ten finish
2011 - 12-1, National Champions
2012 - 13-1, National Champions
3) Alabama 1977 - 1981
1977 - 11-1, SEC Champions, top five finish
1978 - 11-1, National Champions
1979 - 12-0, National Champions
1980 - 10-2, top ten finish
1981 - 9-2-1, SEC Champions, top ten finish
4) Florida 2005 - 2009
2005 - 9-3, top 15 finish
2006 - 13-1, National Champions
2007 - 9-4, top 15 finish
2008 - 13-1, National Champions
2009 - 13-1, top five finish
5) LSU 2003 - 2007
2003 - 13-1, National Champions
2004 - 9-3, top 20 finish
2005 - 11-2, top five finish
2006 - 11-2, top five finish
2007 - 12-2, National Champions
These are the only five instances of winning multiple NCs in a five year span during the poll era. Some may say Alabama's run of five SEC titles, with five top five finishes and an NC may belong, while some may find pre-poll runs that deserve to be listed. I'll leave that for others to post.

We needed a good Alabama fap thread.
And I'm not really being sarcastic, that's the tragic part.

No homer.
It was the GOAT.

I don't see Ole Miss on here with that huge recruiting class that won them soooo many games for so many years.

Second, I'd rank the current 5 year span greater than the 61-65 run. I know the record is better, but few will dispute those championships 50 years from now
It is very close, and I gave the edge to Bryant's teams base on higher finishes during the "off" years and the extra SEC title.

We were also 10-1 in 1964, not 11-1.

And if Saban is coaching in 05 or 06?

A&M's would be from 1991-1995
1991) SWC champs
1992) SWC champs
1993) SWC champs
1994) undefeated and would have been SWC champs but we were ineligible
1995) won 9 games and ended up in the top 15
our overal record over those years was 51-8-1 and we had a conference record of 33-2-1
