Looks like the entire list is as of last year, otherwise you could throw names like Mathieu in there.

Can't say I am super impressed with that list considering the number of 3* players that are signed each year and the fact that list covers multiple class.

5* = elite and high probability of being good

4* = bread and butter that a good team is built on

3* = few diamonds in the rough and some contributors but not what a good team can be built on

I would not say Sunseri "excelled".

Stars are stupid. Just look at the kids offer list. Cobi Hamilton and damion square were both big time recruits. Being surprised that guys like that succeeded is ridiculous.

Darius Slay was a 3* as well but got overshadowed by Banks, he is a solid corner who I think will excel in the NFL as well

Yeah Cobi Hamilton had offers from Texas and OU and ran a legit 4.4, I could never figure out why he was not at least a 4*.

S Bacarri Rambo comes to UGA a 3* athlete from Seminole County, Ga.; leaves as the all time UGA interceptions leader, overtaking the great Jake Scott. That is the epitome of excelling beyond your high school ranking.

Yep. Pretty much a three star. I get the feeling he doesn't get a whiff at Alabama had pops not been on the staff.

Just from the A&M starting lineup alone:

QB - Johnny Manziel
WR - Ryan Swope
WR - Mike Evans
DE - Damontre Moore
DE - Julien Obioha
DT - Kirby Ennis
LB - Sean Porter
DB - Deshazor Everett
DB - Steven Terrell
DB - Dustin Harris

2 stars

OL - Jarvis Harrison
DT - Spencer Nealy
P - Ryan Epperson

I purposely didn't include Taylor Bertolet because he sucks.

Other notables:

QB - Ryan Tannehill (2011)
K - Randy Bullock (2011)
DL - Michael Bennett (2008)
DL - Red Bryant (2007)
DB - Melvin Bullitt (2005)

Still think it's crazy JFF wasn't a 4*, dude was a stud and had the stats to prove it in high school. Has got to be on height alone.

Mathieu ended up as a 4 star. He got a another star once LSU offered. but yeah, that list is only of guys who played this year. Excluding players already named and since rivals started ranking recruits, LSU players that were 3 stars or less that were productive include:
Jonathan Zenon
Quinn Johnson (NFL, still plays)
Chevis jackson (All-SEC, NFL)
Harry Coleman
Curtis taylor (NFL)
Tyson Jackson (All-SEC, #3 overall pick, still plays)
Jacob Hester (2*, All-SEC, NFL, still plays)
Trindon Holliday (NFL, still plays)
Brandon LaFell (All-SEC, NFL, still plays)
Ciron Black (All-SEC)
Perry Riley (All-SEC, NFL, still plays)
Kelvin Sheppard (All-SEC, NFL, still plays)
Morris Claiborne (All-American, Thorpe Award, top 10 pick, still plays)
