It sort of mystifies men that I see all these pre season polls that either don't include the Bayou Bengals or have them ranked low enough to be considered somewhat incidental.

Despite all the defections it's clear with the way they've recruited and with the talent coming in to the current clasos that though they may be young at spots they should be hell on wheels by the end of the season meaning as long as they don't step OOn their dicks to bad early on, they should be battling for a shot in Atlanta just like always come seasons end.

Not saying Bama won't knock their dicks in the dirt. This may be our best overall team under Saban yet. Also not claiming that Johhny Football and company won't be able to get some revenge against the Aggies though it will be interesting to see how A&M reacts to being the hunted, instead of just playing the role of the hunter

Should make for an interesting season of battle in the SECWEST.

Much of the Season's O woes could be chalked up to OL injuries/not jelling, WR's having streaks of cement hand-itis and/or Zach tending to overthrow or not make reads. Sometimes they looked sharp, many times not. By the season's end Clemson looked the better team. With A&M/UA/UGA/UF (47-7 in 2012) and TCU it could be a tough year, who knows.

defections

? Going to the draft to make some money? Okay then.

Why would anyone say that anyways? Except for the bowl game last season (2011) the games have all been close with a 3-4 edge to UA.

I would have A&M and UA as favorite and LSU just behind. I really have no idea how things pan out but it should be good. See if A&M keeps it up, Hogs and AU with their new HC's, Ole Miss really did well last year. Should be good.

we return the same amount of starters in 2013 that we did in 2012. We'll be fine.

We will still have the same:

Quarterback
Offensive Coordinator
Head Coach

Do you see the pattern that is developing?

Experience matters. Their young guys that have never seen the field aren't going to step in and stop Johnny Football.

Looks like you've got a bad case of LSUsession. Don't worry about it though, many on here are infected also.

So the first two paragraphs were just an attempt to mask your real reason for posting:

This may be our best overall team under Saban yet.

If you were serious about the first two paragraphs: LSU will be fine. We played an insane number of underclassmen last year and lest the SEC forget, we still have Chavis. We do better when we fly under the radar, too.

LOLWUT?

You're losing your best 3 Olinemen of maybe the best OL in history that lead you to 2 titles. AJ had 10 seconds to throw and your RB's had hallways to run down.

Methinks that will hurt worse than you think.

You know we are talking about Pre-preseason polls dont you. Prior to draft classes being signed and spring practices. Prior to a summer of college kings with idle hands doing anything stupid and getting booted from a program. Come on know, you should know better than to put any stock into preseason polls but especially this early. You are better than that.

With that said, I like us flying under the radar and not getting any respect. Should make these young players hungrier than they already are.

LSU has a very tough schedule, one of the toughest in the country. Most of the offense is coming back, but that offense was mediocre at best. On offense, they are losing the only veterans on their young and often times battered o-line last year. Nearly every major contributor and leader on defense is gone. The SEC West has several teams all on the cusp of overtaking LSU as top 2 in the division. These are all recipes for an average season with no more than 10 wins but possibly as few as 8.

The future is bright, though. This recruiting class will keep LSU competitive for years to come.

Because, unlike Alashama, LSU plays a REAL schedule next season, with 5 teams in the Top 15:
TCU@Dallas, @Georgia, Florida, Texas A&M, @Bama

Who do you things have? Va.Tech, A&M at home and LSU at home. That's IT.
It's our six game schedule vs your three game schedule. And I think you things should be ashamed.

Then there's Ole Miss, who is a potential Top 20 team or better. That makes it our 7 game schedule vs your 4 game schedule.

You disgust rather than impress.
