You said the South was poor and undereducated. You made a direct attack on the south.

Is part of that mission teaching students to capitalize improper nouns?

Not even trying to troll here. I think those points are pretty much a given based on common knowledge and studies.

The magic is this thread nailed all the best Mizzou has to offer: Big 10 is better, the sophisticated north vs the poor racist south, Mizzou's obvious shankiness when it comes to conferences, the AAU, etc.

Hit every single one.

America as a whole is uneducated. Your statement lacks rationality as well as logic.

I'm not anti-AAU or anti-research, I just think a university's main role is teach students. AAU is for schools with specific goals. Just because other schools don't share the same goals doesn't mean they have failed at their own missions.

The University of Missouri is growing a lot, and the fact that we've got so many different schools contained within the university isn't helping us or our rankings.

As things settle down, growth slows, and things start to normalize, we'll get back to where we should be. That being said, we'll probably top out in the 50s or 60s in the rankings, but that's not too shabby considering we'll still be the only real university in the state.

Unless Missouri State starts picking it up and giving Mizzou a run for top level students and allows Mizzou to start getting a little more selective.

And apparently immune to correct punctuation, as well.

Missouri has Mark Twain. Mississippi has Eudora Welty, WWilliam Faulkner, Tennessee Williams, JimI Henson, Your right, none of these people contributed anything to society. My uncle graduated from Ole Miss and then graduated from Harvard medical school. Maybe we. were taught to be little more humble and carry a big stick.

That is the most arrogant, ignorant comment that has been posted yet. Under educated. Everyday you cut on your radio or ipad thank Mississippi. I lived in Saint Louis and it's one step away from a third world country with ghettos and govt funded wasteland. I had more people trying to sell me drugs in one block than San Francisco.
