You do realize that the 2012 and 2013 are not part of the rotating schedules. They are bridge schedules. I think there would be less complaining if the two years were part of the regular rotation.

I think a lot of people thought that about this year too.

Hm, didn't know that. Learn something new everyday.

Point still stands though. Some teams just have to get the short end of the stick now.

They still tried to match according to teams that had gone the longest without playing each other, as the schedule allowed.

You do realize that every SEC Athletic Director signed off on the "bridge schedules"?

So, basically LSU agreed with what they were given and now, post season, they don't like the results.

This is redefining the term butthurt. Good job corndogs.

[quote]And in a few years when Bama is playing the tough East teams while LSU plays the weaker teams will you bitch and moan and cry injustice then? These schedules are on a cycle. [/quote
When will this happen. After next year Bama will have play the top 3 teams in the east a TOTAL of 1 time( UF in 2011), while LSU will have played them 5 times (uf3,usc3, uga1).

This. It has nothing to do with the rotation. A bunch of Bama fans don't know this and just blindly say LSU is whining. In these two yeArs of bridge schedules , LSU gets USC AND UGA , while Bama gets Mizz and Kentucky. They act like they wouldn't be bitching.

Had Bama had to play more than 2 of the top 5 SEC teams , I think they have another loss. During the regular season , Bama had two hard games. They lost one and was a defensive stop away from losing the other. Then when they played UGA , they were 5 yards away from losing. So had Bama had to play @ USC , Florida , or at UGA , I think they lose another game.

A committee of more than one person, with alumni from more than one school, with oversight by the athletic directors of each of the member institutions? is that the answer you were going for?

Wrong. But don't let that stop you.

1. Schedule rotation

The 2011 & 2012 schedules HAVE ZEROTO DO WITH ROTATION. They are bridge schedules made up by the SEC home office.

lol, how is that wrong, ricky? It is a fact that the committee had more than one person, used a 3rd party consulting group, and was signed off on by all athletic directors. The idea that one person came up with this schedule literally only exists on this website.

To quote the Longhorns (ironically, given the number of Colt McCoy excuses we've heard,) "aggy doesn't lose, they just run out of time."

Who else besides TAMU do we lose to? And I'm betting we're a favorite to beat TAMU. Odds are for at least an 11-1 season again.

This is revision at its worst. Back in August everyone on the SECR was saying Alabama had no chance of repeating because of the difficulty of their schedule. LSU was supposed to have the softer schedule going into 2012. Look up last year's posts, it's all there. Then...something happened:

1) Michigan, Arkansas, and Missouri were not as good as advertised.

2) Florida had an amazing turnaround and became MUCH better than expected.

3) Texas A&M came out of nowhere when everyone said they'd struggle to win 6-7 games.

Before these developments, it was universally agreed that Alabama had a tougher road than LSU. Sometimes things don't end up being what they appear. For instance...LSU's schedule looks formidable next year because of Georgia and Florida. Georgia loses a lot on defense and Florida loses a lot of weapons on both sides of the ball. It could be those teams take a massive step back and those games become easier wins than expected.

My original post should have ended all other posts after it. I am all knowing and offer sage insight into all things college football. The insolence on this board is becoming over the top. I believe I will request the congress to debate what to do with this board.
