To me in my office today that the S.E.C has been dodging Notre Dames offer to play during the regular season for years!?!
He said ND has offered and no team will take the game especially Bama (I said its cause they have sucked for so long)
Has Saban been scared of ND in the past?

You should report your co-worker to HR for a suspicion of crack use.

We tried to play them when Tubs was here.

Alabama tried to schedule a home-and-home, but ND wouldn't take it. They wanted a one game series in Chicago.

I told him I didn't believe it and said I had my doubts just didn't look it up.
Actually said Saban wouldn't schedule even tho AD's new it would make lots of $$
He's a fan who thinks that ND just had a bad game last night

Tell your ND fan friend the reason no SEC team would play ND the past 10 years is because they sucked so bad it would hurt the SEC's schedule rating.
Also, ask him how many ND players ended up having surgery to fix the cleat marks....getting run over for 60 minutes will do that.

we were begging D1 teams to play us this summer.. Couldn't fill the schedule, and ended up paying some lesser teams HUGE to play us.

looks like its the other way around. Classic homerism.

Well they got what they wished for and that's that.

I believe he was 3-0 against ND while at Michigan St.
But seriously, does Saban strike you as someone who would be scared of anything?

Isn't everyone scared of teams they can beat by 4 touchdowns?

He's right about one thing: Notre Dame had a bad game last night. He just doesn't realize that Notre Dame would have a bad game every time they played Alabama.

No, Mal Moore has been trying to get ND to play us for the past 2 years. They can't come to an agreement. I just saw the interview after the BCSCG, today.
Watch this video. He talks about trying to get a ND series, but they can't manage to get it going. This was from last night

We've tried to schedule them twice since we joined the SEC, as a matter of fact they owe us a game, yet they've dodged us repeatedlyh.
Even Holtz tried to make it happen and he was turned-down ... ND claimed they were booked for decades and the CBS vs NBC schedules clashed.
It was a big deal at the time.

UGA tried to schedule them back in the mid-90s and they wouldn't even come to the table to discuss it.

A&M played them in a home and home in the 2000/2001 seasons when we were still in the Big12.
Their stadium was crazy old and while it was neat to watch a game in it is in desperate need of renovations.
Also, South Bend flat out sucks. It's basically an old burnt out industry town. I was really glad my family decided to stay in Chicago.
