While CFB is coming to a close, I guess this would be an entertaining discussion.

My opinion, and according to US news college rankings

Vandy > Florida > TAMU > Georgia > every other school

I was just reading that it's:
Tennessee> Vandy> Florida>.. oh wait.. Read that on a UT forum. Disregard.

Is this your way of making yourself feel better after being humiliated on national tv because your team couldn't focus enough to beat Louisville and your fans apparently didn't care enough to show up?

Would everyone agree that the main purpose of a degre,e for most people, is to get a job (probably in the specific field the degree is in?)

Well global companies have ranked the quality of the applicants from various world wide universities. The data was independently gathered/verified. There are only 4 SEC schools in the Top 150, globally.

USC is #2 in the SEC!

#1 is aTm
#3 is Vandy
#4 is UF

Ha!!

You sound like an Ohio State Fan after they lost in 2006.

Yeah, but academics. Winning doesn't matter.

Show me a school that is bragging about their academic program and I'll show you someone who just lost.

There's a bigger gap between Vanderbilt and Florida than there is between Georgia and the top schools in your "every other school" category.

So why don't we just say "Vandy > every other school" and be done with it?

Vandy
AU
FL
UGA

A&M belongs somewhere in the top 5 as well I believe, just do not know enough about them.

Significant drop after this.

I'm basing my opinion partly on average mid career earnings (a strong indicator of a good education) and Vandy is #1, AU #2, and UF #3 in the SEC.

I don't put much stock into the US News College rankings. They use a lot of factors like endowment, survey's from students and alumni, etc.
