Where do you rank Spurrier all time amongst SEC coaches, because you have to figure he'd be pretty high. Revolutionized how the SEC played football with his Fun n Gun and now has South Carolina playing an elite brand of football.

I'd probably rank him third behind Bryant and Neyland.

I think he is better than Saban.

Any other coach win 4 straight SEC titles??
Cause Saban has never even won 2 straight

Paul "Bear" Bryant in 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, and 1975. That's 5 straight with only one in-conference loss during that run.

Top 3. Maybe top 2. What he did at UF was unreal.
Now he has turned SC into a very good and consistent winner and done stuff no other coach ever has there (back to back 11 win seasons, highly ranked).

It's a tossup between him and Saban for #3. Spurrier probably ranks ahead of Saban by a small margin right now because he has more SEC championships and almost twice as many wins in the SEC but if Saban stays at Bama, he's going to pass him with ease.

I agree. We are excluding CNS, right?

Bear Bryant I think is the only other one

Fact: The SEC was much weaker in the '90s than it is now.

Sorry, helmetless, segregated football eras don't count. The forward pass has to be present

Saban doesn't coach at the University of South Carolina.

Did he ever win 4 straight conference title games though?

Saban's not at Alabama to win SEC's.

Oh and Saban is definitely ahead of Neyland.

So the gamecocks squeak by the outback bowl, and Spurrier is AMONG the greatest coaches of all time?

The SEC had been integrated by the 1970s. Why do you think Alabama dominated the decade so much?

Saban also didn't have the luxury of coaching the SEC in the '90s when the second best coach in the conference was Phil Fulmer.
