Who you got?

I've jokingly been saying Arkansas will fill the last 4 coaching positions with Ray Lewis, Deion Sanders, Marshall Faulk, and Bruce Smith.

Seriously though, what NFL'rs do y'all think would make pretty decent college coaches?

Bill Romanowski?
Curtis Martin?
James Hasty?
Brett Favre?
Mike Alstott?
Kevin Gogan?
Brad Johnson?
Hardy Nickerson?
Zach Thomas?

That's all I got.

I'm just going to ignore the "former" in the title.

Peyton Manning would be an awesome offensive coordinator. I don't know about head coach though.

Ray Lewis could be a great linebackers coach and good d-coordinator. As a head coach, I think he'd be able to get his players motivated but I'd be skeptical about his play calling (even though he seems very intelectual about the game).

I have always thought that former QB Chad Pennington would be a great college head coach. He is a young, good-looking guy that mamas would love to hug his neck. More importantly he is a former QB that is very intelligent.

None of the above. Stud players rarely make great coaches. How could someone like Peyton Manning explain what they see on the football field to a lesser player? They would run out of patience in two seconds. There's a reason almost all great coaches were marginal players at best.

Pretty much this. You want a marginal player who had to work hard at the technical side of their craft, as a coach. People with otherworldly talent hit a wall of frustration in explaining what comes so naturally and easy to them, to lesser beings.
