Why Bama gets a pass, but not Florida?

After last year's NC, when every sports personality in America gave up being against non-conference champions playing for a national title, why is it not the same story this year for Florida? Now that we've set a precedent for "best two teams" instead of "most deserving teams", shouldn't Florida be up there if they finish 11-1? The winner of the SEC title game will be at best 2-1 against the top 10... Florida will be 4-1.
Everyone knows Notre Dame's schedule hasn't quite shaped out to be that tough, and if you're going to penalize Florida for a poor showing against ULL, why not the same for Notre Dame? Based on who they've played and beaten, ignoring "style points" and the "eye test", Florida is the best team in the country. I know it would never happen, but one could honestly argue an 11-1 Florida team is not only "more deserving", but the team that would have accomplished more this season than either team winning the SEC title, thus should get a spot in the NC ahead of them.
I can't see how Bama getting a rematch last year without beating anyone of significance during the regular season, they wouldn't be the highest ranked SEC team right now if they had Florida's schedule and resume, but lost the division in a tiebreaker. That being said, should ND lose to USC, Florida should without a doubt be in the title game if they win this weekend. Anything but that only gives validation to the oft-complained Alabama/Saban bias. Thoughts?
*added paragraphs, apologies*

If we win and ND loses, it will depend on the haters that get to vote, we might get screwed cause we are not a flashy team

Florida didn't win division and doesn't pass the eye test. Have to do one or the other.
Gets screwed both ways. Florida over ND, sounds good to me. But they have to play ALA GA winner.

Not gonna get my blood pressure
Im too mellowed out. Let the freaking back and forth start. Of course our offense is old man football, havent you heard of Woody Hayes and the cloud of dust + 3 yds? Leather helmuts? Damn babies.

Because they aren't one of the two best teams in the country right now. Their team is riddled with injuries and their offense is awful. I bet if they played the other six one-loss teams (Bama, UGA, Oregon, FSU, Kansas State, Clemson) on a neutral field right now, they would lose to all of them.

Because most people would rather claw their eyes out rather than watch that putrid offense play in a big bowl game, that's why

Well last years CG sucked thanks freaking LSU.
I think if we beat FSU they will have to push us up. Everyone keeps hoping we fail and they are all waiting for FSU to come back. Lmao they are always so freaking overrated. Jumbo knows is now or never that is why he has been a whiny little bitch. They are losing a lot after this year and they will be back down again.
Can someone get them to the SEC so they can get their asses beat on a weekly basis?

It's because we not only own the SEC offices, we now own ESPN and the NCAA. And the NCAA has secretly agreed to fire any referee who calls us for holding.
It's over. You're fricked.

Agreed on the part where they'd have to play SEC champ for it. But I wonder if they would be ahead of either of those teams in a 4 team playoff setting, especially if they had a more big name coach.

Why are we getting a "pass"?
Now we have 1 loss teams, someone has to be number 2.

Florida will not win this weekend. All this is moot.

I meant for being a non-division winner in NC last year, over other conference champs, which is what Florida would be asking for.

It's because we have Saban...I am on to you

Ha, what most people think, though I think it was more about who Bama skipped over. I felt it was because the team that got "screwed" last year was Oklahoma State... I could see UF getting that 2nd spot if the next best 1 loss team was only K-State, but they would have Notre Dame and Oregon there as well, two big names they wouldn't want to upset with another all SEC game.
