Texas vs Texas A&M Cotton Bowl

First of all congrats Aggies. To be honest I had hoped you and Mizzou would take a beating all year long as a sort of initiation, but A&M definetly earned their stripes by taking down one of the conference's elite.
I can think of nothing greater to cap this season for A&M than by whopping some Longhorn arse in Dallas. I was a little disappointed last year when Texas got the W in the last regular matchup of the series, but destiny may be aligning so that these two teams meet in the Cotton Bowl. How fitting would it be that these two teams meet up again this year, probably the last time for the foreseeable future, and A&M pours it on Texas, ending the night with chants of "SEC! SEC! SEC!"

This I can agree with. Gig 'em.

Epic! But I think LSU gets that nod should UF beat FSU.

we all want this but Ags on here seem to think Texas brass will prevent it from happening (Because they know JFF will probably hang 70 on that pitiful D).
Sure hope it does happen though.

Honestly, don't care if we play them. Would rather go to a BCS bowl and trade punches with Oregon for Battle of the Spread.

I'm still holding out hope for a BCS At-Large bid, but this would be awesome

The SEC chants would be priceless

Deloss Dodds is too butthurt, chickenshit, and gutless to play A&M. He is throwing a hissy-fit that his network is bombing and has stated publicly that he refuses to play A&M. He'll be making panicked phone calls to the Cotton Bowl HQ in the next few weeks to make sure the tsips go to a worse bowl game. Embarrassing for them, but expected.

Cotton Bowl will screw LSU in order to get a hold of A&M-Texas.

That will be tough considering two conference teams that beat you are still in front of you.

I would love to see this game and watch A&M beat the crap out of texass. I bet the longhorns are crapping their pants at the thought of it

This is probably wishful thinking on my part, but say Bama beats UGA in the SECCG, and FSU beats UF (don't think this happens, but play along), then you've got Bama in the Sugar, and one more AT-LARGE team to go say Fiesta (say K-State wins out). Fiesta would have a pool of probably 5 2-loss SEC teams to choose from. With the Johnny Football-A&M in the SEC story line, I could see A&M being chosen to maybe match up against OU in a battle of old Big 12 foes.
Granted many things need to happen for that, but that would be my dream scenario.

The Cotton Bowl is almost dead with the Champions Bowl around the corner. Maybe they don't care what DeLoss thinks.

This implies LSU wants the Cotton.

There would be no surprise because we got over-confident either.
There are plenty of players on that team who remember last years heartbreak and more specifically, the bullshite flag that probably made it all possible.
We would let nothing slip through the cracks and we would beat the absolute shite out of them.

We'll be in the Fiesta Bowl anyway so I'm not too worried about it.

They shouldn't care what that old adult-diaper-wearing idiot says anyway.

While I would love to try out some of these new bowls and play some different opponents in different venues, I would also love to beat the ever living shite out of Texas.
The implications for recruiting are tremendous, and being that Im from the Austin area, the shite talk would be glorious.

On another note, if UGA loses to Bama in the SECCG and UF loses to FSU, who goes to the cap one?
