because after Yeldon fumbled, he may not have been put back in by Saban for that final drive. In fact, he might not have been put back in at all for the rest of the game. Do you think Yeldon being in there was the best bet for Alabama, especially for that screen in that situation?

That fumble was on AJ.

fumble was on AJ and Yeldon, at least that would be what any of my coaches would have told me.

As an LSU fan I was much more terrified of Yeldon than Lacy. Yeldon is an absolute beast.

it's never a blessing when you're possibly down to 1 running back with 3 games to go in the regular season.

Losing Lacy would be terrible, but I have 100% confidence that Drake could help carry the load.

yeah, Lacy is a pounder, wears down the D, but Drake does look good. I meant blessing as in a blessing at the moment of time for the final drive.

I don't see that. The back touched the ball. My coaches would be all over my arse for not getting the ball as the RB

and the QB coach would be all over AJ

it was both of their faults

and they would be sure to make you think it was all your fault (both the rb and the qb) when they had you one on one.

I think Yeldon is more explosive and has more big play potential. He gave Bama a better chance to win. Saying that, I really hope Lacy is fine and will be able to go this weekend. The combo of them together is tough, and we are really slim at RB right now.

Ditto. Yeldon is 10x the RB that Lacy is. He can stretch with speed. Lacy is average IMO.

Bama's Oline is the best in the country and its not close. If they had those guys returning next year with YEldon getting the carries I would be pretty terrified.

Yeldon is flat out scary. Dude is one hell of a RB and may go down as the best ever at bama, a title currently held by Richardson IMO.

I've heard early reports have Lacy and Cooper with ankle sprains and probable for A&M, but both should play.

Lacy is a decent back, but I don't really see him as a good ball pounder. He will drag the d along if enough guys get around him, but his incessant spin move kills me. Several times this year he has spun his way out of a 3-5 yard gain and left the offense looking at 3 and 7 vs 3 and 2 or 3. Hill POUNDED the ball really well and based off of one game i would be happier having him as our rb . Ok bama fans...skewer me

Who knows what would have happened? But, for the record, Lacy had more yards and a higher ypc average in the game than Yeldon did.

That said, Yeldon obviously is more explosive. Lacy looks a step slower this year, due either to injuries or bulking up too much. And he doesn't have Yeldon's vision.

I think Lacy is better than average but he's not in Yeldon's class. In my completely biased bammer opinion, Yeldon looks like a possible future Heisman winner.

They both could have run that one in, even gimpy.

If Bama continues that OLine play after losing yoru seniors, I think there is little doubt he will have the stats to be a Heisman contender.

He has elite burst.
