More experienced. It's Bama.

Because Alabama is overall a better program.

Maybe b/c we are not ready to lynch him every time something goes the least bit wrong.

I think he is a better coach and has probably learned a lot from mistakes he has made in the past. Most people, not all, get better at their job the older they get.

Nick Saban was already a name brand when he came to Bama. He was a nobody when he went to LSU. A big reason why he had the #1 recruiting class in his first season at Bama.

More experienced. Contrary to popular belief, I think he has mellowed out a lot too.

He's a much better coach now. Not to mention his timing on everything he has done at Alabama is unreal. Not trying to take away from him being the best coach in college football, but he damn sure it lucky too.

Correct answer.
More money, better administrators, better recruiting base (easier to get into Georgia and Florida).
Add that to the fact that he has more experience, and that is your answer.

Think the program was on more stabile ground than what he found at LSU. I also believe that the Alabama history plays a part in it. Additonally and quite possibly the most important reason is that he is recognized for building a NC at LSU to go along with his experience in the NFL.
A couple of staff members at LSU have told me that he crazy driven to make the program the best. Coach Miles is the same, but not willing to sacrifice the family life to accomplish what Coach Saban has accomplished.

He has grown as a coach. Believe it or not, he is actually more relaxed than he use to be.
With that in mind. Success is a fickle thing and the margin is so thin. Does he win the title in 2009 if McCoy doesn't get hurt? Hard to say. That texas team was really good In 2011, he got beat at home and then benefited from the only time in the history of the sport that a team finished 2nd in its division and got to play for the bcsnc. In 2012, his team was outplayed lasr night, but he got the win.
Not taking anything away, just to say the he is in the cusp of his 3rd title at Bama, but it has taken some good coaching but also some breaks and dare I say "luck" to get there.

I think because this is the first time that he wasn't looking for the next gig. Saban is a great coach who was well known for building programs. He never stayed any place long enough to see if he could maintain a program. Evidently,he can.
I expect him to start looking at the NFL again after this season. I'm thinking Dallas is his next destination.
