Things have calmed down for former Washington High defensive tackle Darius Paige over the past few months. But that might not last very long.
Sources close to the situation have confirmed to the News Journal that NCAA associate director of enforcement Renee Gomila will be in Pensacola this week to interview Washington officials about Paige. The sources spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the ongoing NCAA investigation.Paige’s transfer to Foley (Ala.) High School made national headlines when Washington High defensive coordinator George Schellang — who was the Wildcats’ interim head coach after Mike Smith’s resignation over the summer — alleged University of Alabama assistant coach Jeremy Pruitt forced the move.
Total BS, we Are BAMA

Not that Bama doesn't get away with some dirty crap - but this kind of thing happens all the time here in the Houston area.

The investigation was launched after Brad Lowery, who is identified in documents as Bud Lowery, contacted the Escambia County School District alleging Faucheaux violated FERPA while posting on the website secrant.com, using the alias “tigerbait65.”

There is pending NCAA legislation that will all but force schools to better track prospects’ academic performance once they meet the definition of “prospective student athlete.”
So basically they want coaches to do what Pruitt did. If anyone is screwed it is his LSU fan coach.

TIGERBAIT65 on trent richardson going to Alabama
quote:
You are right he is overrated, his nickname in Pensacola, is crystal slippers b/c he has broken both ankles before. If anyone watched the Under Armour game once Jelani Jenkins came up and lit his butt up he ran out of bounds. He only rushed for big yards against the really bad teams in Pensacola, check the stats out agianst the teams with good defenses. Has taken the ACT 5 times, and his highest score is a 16. I 'll take someone like Montgomery anyday, he has a 3.0 with a 1100 on the SAT. He'll need a lot of tutoring and personal help just to stay qualified. Oh, I forgot he is going to BAMA they won't have any trouble keeping him qualified.

Dumbass AD and coach are so worried about trying to screw up the eligibility of their former players that they got themselves investigated and reprimanded. Lucky they still have their jobs.

The NCAA would not be investigating the AD and Coach... They would only investigate college coaches and potential eligibility issues...

I didn't say the NCAA investigated them. Read the article. They were investigated by their school district
