Lines are set so there is even money placed on both teams. Even money bet means the book will make money no matter what. Alabama has a ton of action so they have a high spread. Too much bet on MSU and the spread will go down. Vegas doesn't necessarily care about strengths and weaknesses, but more about getting equal action

I could see it going either way. If MSU comes out fired up & Bama is overlooking them, then they could make it close and perhaps even compete for awhile.
If Bama is focused, it will not matter what State does. Bama will treat them like the Luftwaffe treated London in the early 40's.

Have you seen MSU's schedule? They have played 4 cupcakes and probably the three worst teams in the SEC. I'm not saying Bama's schedule so far has been great, but Bama also hasn't played a close game.
