Even though he threw 3 INT's I was qctually impressed with his abilty to make people miss and how he threw the ball. I think he could become a legit QB in his career. I now I will get some heat from tyhis post but who gives a crap.

He is a slippery little thing.

Meh....scat back playing QB. It's cute, but more of a novelty.

The scary part is he'll be at A&M for a while

He can't throw more than 10 yds down field. He is a very good ath. playing QB.

3 Ints don't tell it, at least one was totally his WRs fault.
His awareness and drive to compete was most impressive, even more than his speed. I wish more people knew how to compete like that.

He needs to work on his arm. The last interception would have been a completion if he was able to throw it hard enough. A year or two of strength and conditioning under Larry Jackson may get him enough of an arm to hit those tight windows. Until then, we will turn the ball over against elite defenses. We will move the ball, but some will end up in the defense's hands.

Exactly. Great athlete. But I suspect his numbers will decrease each year, now that teams will know how to prepare for him.
He's not a passer by any stretch of the imagination. He missed a lot of open receivers today, and wasn't even close. But he's a crafty little monkey when he's scrambling.

He is impressive but has a lot to improve on.

Speaking of missing wide open receivers...Mett

If he keeps progressing and avoids injury he should be a good one.
He has that "it" factor about him. That said, LSU did a hell of a job bottling him up today. Once he and our OC have some more experience with SEC DC adjustments I think he will be fine.
It goes without saying this is a tough league in many ways and each week is a learning experience for both the QB and A&M's young OC.

Not only will teams prepare better for him, but he is the kind of guy that doesn't have a lot of room to grow in my opinion. I think he's pretty close to his ceiling already, good thing for him is he's pretty good as is.

Good lord. I knew we were in REAL trouble last week when he threw a fade pass from the 15 yd line, and it went into the stands.

Chavis figured out early if you contain him, he can't hurt you.
He had some wide open WR's today and missed more open receivers than Mett. He just isn't effective throwing down field against a decent defense.

Manziel won't hit his hot reads. The offense will be more productive when he learns to trust what he sees against pressure.

Disagree. Game will slow down for him and he will be making better decisions.

he's incredibly elusive and keeps plays alive for ages it seems. BUT, both florida and lsu pretty well shut him and his team out after the first quarter adjustments were made. he's 6 feet tall and doesn't check his wr's down. he is very inconsistent. but the biggest problem is their scheme; i seriously doubt the spread they run will ever win the sec; too many defenses know how to slow it down. the hell of it is that a&m has a damn good OL and RB's and could be a damn good ball control team.
