For my part, Freese has certainly crossed my mind. Auburn's done it before.

It would be a little harder to get Freeze away from Oxford compared to Tuberville. Tuberville didn't have the support from administration like Freeze has now. Freeze has pretty much been given everything he has asked for so far by the new AD. Ole Miss is a school he grew up cheering for. He didn't want to leave after the 2007 season when Nutt brought in his staff. They guy really does have a love for Oxford and Ole Miss. Moreso than any coach I've seen at Ole Miss.

I'm not trash talking, but you can't seriously compare the Auburn & Ole Miss jobs in terms of potential. Auburn's had 6 coaches since 1950.

I'm not comparing anything. He grew up going to games and always wanted the chance to be the head guy in Oxford. He finally got that chance and is doing good things so far. Why run away from it?

I hear ya, man. Maybe you're right. Auburn doesn't seem to be talking about Freeze much. But he's on my mind.

Who is making any sort of comparison based on potential?

No, Mike Slive enacted a no poaching rule when he became Commish- no SEC has been hired by another since he has been in office. Hootie was allowed to go to Mississippi because he was being fired by UPig. Tenn wanted Merlins before they hired Dooley- Slive said no.

Thats false.

There is a reason we put in place a $18 mil buyout in Petrino's contract and also had a no compete clause to any SEC school.

If this is true, why did Freeze go to Southern Miss instead of Ole Miss???

Just based on pure time difference on how long each coach has been at each school looks more likely that Merlins would be considered/leave than the Freeze, c'mon its his first year here???

Hugh Freeze is more likely to be on a prison chain gang than coaching football in 3 years.

At some point of one of those searches if it hit desperation, he could be considered, but I don't think he'd leave. Nice gig there for him.

plus you're just mad because we take your state's best looking girls and make them rebels im sorry i'm not sorry

Tennessee is Freeze's dream job, and it could happen....
