SIAP. Heard it on a few different boards now. What says the SECr? As a Vol fan, I would find it hilarious.

I don't see this happening at all. What are the sources?

He can offer before settling for Gruden.

How he assures the present coaching staff and front office that they’re not lame ducks: “I just looked them in the eye and told them that. I told Pat that. I said, no decisions have been made. I’m very comfortable saying that. These men are big boys. They understand the profession they’re in. They’ve been through it before. They understand it. I had a great talk with Pat in his suite Saturday night for about an hour and a half. I think Pat and I have good relationship. He knows what he has to do. The timing of us coming in the day of training camp was not the best in the world, but it is what it is. I’ve said all along, we don’t want to be a distraction. I’ve told Pat, that if there’s anything we can do let us know, otherwise you go out and coach the football team, get the guys ready to play hard. Let’s win as many games as we can.”

I heard Manchester United is going to offer Saban, it's the only Football team that he hasn't been rumored to yet.

Haslam is loaded, but why would Saban WANT the Browns job?
Posted on 10/17/12 at 12:25 pm to Supravol22
We can only pray he is dumb enough to take the job

I live in the Cleveland area. There is a lot of speculation about that right now and my Browns friends are split on this. They all want Shurmer fired (he's more conservative than Bobo on third downs), but they remember Saban's Dolphins days more than his greatness at Alabama. I don't know whether they will actually offer him or not, but he's from West Virginia, was on Belichick's Browns staff and got his first big head coaching job at Michigan State. Wouldn't be at all surprised if he is Cleveland's next coach.

Yeah, this is going to be all over the place the rest of this season. Cleveland is where Nick got his start and I'm sure it holds a special place in his heart.

Will he stay through this weekend?

Saban won't leave bama but it would be awesome to watch the fallout if he did

As a Browns fan I think its a terrible move, but Im not worried about it actually happening.

I havent heard one person here talking about Saban. Everyone is talking about Gruden and Dungy.
