Tell me why i'm wrong, rantards.

dude wins. everywhere. can recruit. loves to duck hunt. wins some more.

he's not the flashy pick, but he's not gonna win less than 8 a year either with the occasional rise up.

would it further solidy Arkansas as an also-ran? or is he the right guy? not hte flashy guy. not the big-name guy. but the right guy.

I think he is from Arkansas too right? Arkansas could do a lot worse in my opinion.

Third times a charm I guess.

I would support you 100% if it was 1997 again, 40% at this date, we could do better or much worse.

tubbs is a good coach. auburn apparently were in love with his OC (Petrino) and Tubbs was unfortunate to get screwed out of the NC during his undefeated season, and they became disenchanted with tubbs.

top caliber coach, and he has proven he can coach in the SEC.

You could do much worse.

Why do people always throw this in? Sure, we have the best duck hunting in America in Arkansas, but its a 4 hour drive from Nam.

Its like saying someone should coach at SMU if they love deep sea fishing.

Seriously? You'd be content with 8 wins a year with the occasional rise up?

Your new coach's name should be Dana Holgorsen, but probably won't unfortunately for yall.

His team is currently #4 in total defense, #10 in total offense.

It honestly makes too much sense.

IMHO Tubbs is a good fit there and could bring the Hogs back quickly. He's an Arkansas guy, good recruiter and pretty damn good coach.

Would he be the 1st coach to be the HC at 3 schools in the same division?

Spurrier and Saban each have 2. Not sure how the other conferences shake out.

I've always wondered why Arky hasnt had interest in Tubbs. He is an Arkansas native and he can win. I am damn sorry he ever left Auburn.

He would be an above average hire.

I personally love the guy.
I know most LSU fans hate him for the cigar thing, but that showed balls. And you got to have big ones to win big in the SEC. Just look at Mark Richt.

I think he would bring back D first mentality with him to the SEC, only thing is that he needs to bring a good OC with him. Unless he gets a huge hire there, I don't see Arkansas winning the west under him.

Tubbs or Butch Davis would be good hires for Arky. Both are good coaches and have ties to the state.

I think it would be a good hire and for the sake of my program hope you go in a different direction. It's boring to watch from time to time but he coaches winning football and doesn't need a roster full of 4 and 5 star talent to be succesful.

A short term solution for a long term problem IMO. Arky could do better but could do worse also.
