Well, I'm sure we could all get in an argument over quantitative vs. qualitative methods, researcher bias in ethnography, or discuss the merits of using ANOVA tests vs. multiple regression with dummy variables to demonstrate our bona fides, but I am pretty sure most posters eyes would start bleeding if the boredom didn't kill them first.

Don't care.

3. Yes (BSME)
4. Yes and now I'm finishing up MSME at Georgia Tech, but I don't really cheer for their football team.

UAB had no football program when I was there originally. The majority supported Alabama for it was (and still is - but more so then) part of the University system.

Southeastern didn't have a football team when I was there. They got a team in the spring of my last semester. I grew up in Baton Rouge and I have been going to LSU games since I was in diapers.

Also, when I started college LSU did not have an accredited Athletic Training program and SLU did. Everyone that I knew told me not to go to LSU as an athletic training GA because they work you to death. I did go to LSU for post graduate certification courses though.

I don't think a person is a sidewalk fan just because they didn't go to the university. I consider sidewalk fans the lunatic fringe group that does shite to make the other fans look bad.

And those of you who skipped college so that we have the freedom to enjoy college football on Saturdays, to you.

So most of the people who post on this site are sidewalk fans?

There's an awful lot of PhD students on the SEC Rant. There's also an awful lot of people with graduate degrees.

Me thinks some people are lying

TD saved me when I was in grad school. It was the perfect way to escape from the drudgery of being stuck on the computer and socializing without interrupting momentum the way going out to meet a friend for coffee or dinner would.

Also, I think these kinds of threads lead to people posting in them if they've accomplished something or are proud of what they've done, so you get a higher proportion of college educated (and beyond) or military service people explaining their circumstances.
