Chizik worth more than '10 Sabans,' Auburn's Pat Dye says

“Don’t question the guy we got leading the program,” said Dye, who reminded the crowd of Chizik’s part in three undefeated teams, including Auburn’s 2004 and 2010 squads. “I wouldn’t swap him for 10 (Alabama coach Nick) Sabans.
“Saban is the best coach in the country — I’ll grant him that. But he ain’t a better man than Gene Chizik.”

Do we really need a thread to sit around and talk about how Pat Dye is a retard?
Pat Dye is a retard. We should all be able to agree on this.

I disagree...CNS's legacy drops a few notches in my book. He is winning at a tradional powerhouse that was built by someone else (Bear).

Right. It's common knowledge.

There are a lot of men who are "better men" than either of them, and 99.9999999% of them can't coach a lick of football.

Well anyways I'm glad Spurrier could supply you with that line and help you sleep at night. As if it makes any sense.
ETA: You could definitely say Bear inherited a traditional power built by Wallace Wade, so...

I already said it before Spurrier ever thought of it.

Alabama was a major power in the 20s and 30s, when Bear played there. Wallace Wade and Frank Thomas were the first Alabama coaches to have dominant national success. So, really, you coulld say Bear inherited a traditional power built by someone else.

you are dumb...
are we so quick to forget how jacked up bamas program was when he got there?
the man is absofrickinglutely dominating CFB right now and started with a team that was finishing up probation...they were fricking terrible...Notre Dame used to be a powerhouse too...and it isnt until the right coach comes in that they start winning again...yes the culture and tradition is a base to build from...but you have to have the knowledge and ability to do the building...he has that...and more...no team shows the discipline and physicality that sabans teams do consistently...i think you are just blinded by your orange and blue jealous glasses my friend..
