get depressed just riding past Montgomery on I-65. An old, hot, dirty looking city. I was born there, but quickly moved away.

I will take Montgomery over the bankrupt city of Birmingham anytime.... Montgomery has really improved over the last 10 years or so... Birmingham, not so much.

I will definitely take the Birmingham metro area over whatever Montgomery has to offer.

Dude, you can't be serious. I'm not even gonna argue with the other guy about Saban anymore.

Birmingham is a really cool advanced New South city. Montgomery is an absolute piece of shite.

FIFY

what is the love for Birmingham.. It is bankrupt and corrupt.... The skyline sucks. The crime sucks...

If it was so great why have 25% of its residents moved over the last 10 years?

ETA: what makes Birmingham a major city??? Atlanta is a major city...

Lulz all you want. From 1925-1950, Alabama had the third highest winning percentage in the country. Bear didn't arrive as coach until 1958.

We're talking about the metro area. That's where all the residents have moved to those really fricking nice suburbs.

It's a major city because it has over 1 million people.

Metro area is different from the City... Montgomery Metro would include Prattville, Wetumpka and Pike Road... So for a major city what does Birmingham have that Montgomery does not? Suburbs? Is that really your answer?

Let's be real here. There is not a major city anywhere in the state of Alabama. Atlanta is a major city. New Orleans is a major city. Nashville is a major city. Charlotte is a major city. Orlando is a major city. Tampa is a major city. Miami is a major city.

Birmingham is not. And Montgomery is not. Quit arguing over stupid shite.

I like Birmingham. It has great dining, attracts great concerts, great scenery, hipster parts of town. If you know where to go, it really is a cool city. I like it bro.

Lets stick to Wallace Wade shall we? Since that is who you wanted to compare to Bear Bryant. Did he coach Bama from 1925-1950?

No, and Bear Bryant didn't coach Bama from 1958-2005. Your boy was making a point that Saban should be discredited because Bear made the program 30 years earlier. Which is also basically the same amount of time between Wade and Bear. My point is perfectly valid. Try and keep up.
