not like Auburn. I have to drive through the country on back roads for two hours to get there.

Not really. Located on the interstate, 45 minutes away from Birmingham.

Do you get tired of being a contrarian?

Tuscaloosa is right outside a major city.

But he ain’t a better man than Gene Chizik
What is the basis for this statement?
I'm not saying either are good men, but Pat Dye seems really hung up on calling Gene Chizik a good man. Who is he trying to convince?

Auburn is closer to a major city than ttown

Georgia Tech versus Georgia is really shooting holes all in your major city theory.

Rutgers is about 5 miles from NYC. The largest city in America. The greatest city in the world.
This explains why Rutgers is the most dominant program in history.

This is his most important point. I think a lot of people owe Coach Chizik an apology. Many were doubting his coaching abilities before he proved himself by losing to LSU. As Dye said, we shouldn't forget the vital role he played in TWO undefeated seasons - more than Saban, Spurrier, or Miles.

Pretty typical of fans whose team is losing. "We don't care about wins and losses, it's all about being "good people".

Uh Pat....which guy would you hire to COACH? He ain't being paid to be a PR spokesman.

Perhaps Auburn should just hire Billy Graham to be their HC, since that's what's really important.

Even Billy Graham thinks AU is a cult
