RT @bmarcello: Mississippi State confirms NCAA has been examining MSU for "potential recruiting irregularity" over the last several months.
-----------
Mississippi State statement: "Over the last several months, Mississippi State has worked in cooperation with the NCAA to examine a potential recruiting irregularity. We are nearing the end of this examination, and it is our intent to provide additional details when it is complete."

While it's not yet possible to make any informed speculation on the outcome of the alleged investigation or even what kind of violations the investigation might be searching for, it's safe to assume that if those violations were serious enough to force Mirando's sudden resignation, they could prove highly troublesome for the Bulldogs.

MSU spokeswoman Stacey Osburn, in an email to the Clarion-Ledger, said “The NCAA and Mississippi State are working cooperatively regarding this matter, but have no further comment.
“We are nearing the end of this examination, and it is our intent to provide additional details when it is complete,” according to a statement released by MSU’s media relations department Thursday.

@schadjoe Heard the Memphis 7 on 7 too, but also hearing about at least one recruit in Alabama - no, not Cam

Does this mean Da Coon and friends will start publishing Auburn's garbage on the rant? I guess this rivalry is real

Exactly... MSU was dirty in the CAM fiasco, but the innocent Auburn Tigers were drug through the mud...
Wonder who the player is and what happened... when a coach quits, that is serious...

I always thought after Auburn was proven innocent in the Cam case, that it would be humorous if the NCAA went after State and hit them with sanctions.

How much does a 2* OL cost these days?

If true, MSU did the right thing by getting rid of him now and being forthcoming.
LSU did something similar with McCarthy and the Akiem Hicks deal and the NCAA may go a little lenient on you.
