I could be wrong, but I think people are making way to much out of the fact Chizik hasn't formally named Frazier the starter. I'm not sure of the strategy but it seems Frazier has been the starter all along, just without the formal announcement.

When's the next scrimmage scheduled for? If it's outdoors imma camp on a hill overlooking the field and use binoculars to get some stats! Gene has made me desperate

It is scheduled for Saturday, the Scholarship and Box owners will be in attendance, so do not expect a lot. They know the starters, so this is usally about guys trying to get on the depth chart. Tubs used to do it on either the practice field or the soccer field. Last year it was in the Stadium.

This is Scholarship weekend, Golf Friday, a cocktail party Friday night with Chizik speaking, Saturday practice/scrimmage and Saturday night dinner for the suite owners.

Chiz even took way too long to name Cam the starter over Trotter & Caudle. I am sure the competition was not even close.

I miss jason cambell, dameyune Craig, Stan White, Patrick Nix, Ben Leard, Chris Todd.

Pretty much I miss any QB that was worth a crap. We are hurting at the position other than Cam's year.

It would be nice to have someone come in and lock down the qb spot for a couple of seasons.

I agree. I really pay attention to the players during Spring and some of the comments made now. It's obvious KF is doing well. There may be some inconsistency, but I think he will do great.

He announced Cam the starter a week after spring ball ended.

Seriously?

Cam was named starter on April 28th. 4.5 months total of being on Auburn's campus was too long?

Bunch of hand wringing in here is getting old. You'd think people would see a pattern on how Chizik conducts business and just move on.

2009 - Todd named starter August 14th
2010 - Newton named starter April 28th
2011 - Trotter named starter August 18th
2012 - Frazier named starter August 1...th

Until there is a known starter for more than one year, expect the trend to continue.

Agreed. There was always QB controversy under Tuberville (outside Cox). And there has been no continuity under Chizik because of recruiting.

I really wish ppl would stop jumping to conclusoins when they have no info.

Just bec CGC hasnt publically named a stater doesnt mean they dont kknow who will lead our team. They dont have to tell the public shite. For all we know they could have sat down with the team and announced but dont want Clemson knowing yet.

Publically naming a starter in April is no different than naming one in August.

Clemson is preparing for the QBs regardless of who is named starter. Don't think it really effects them as much as people think. They are probably planning more for Loeffler than whoever our QB is.

They don't have much to go on for Loeffler. If they are using what he did at Temple they are looking at the wrong film.

He developed a new offense for AU. It has elements of what he did at Temple, but he has a far better cast of players. Temple film will not provide enough to game plan against.
