He is a JuCO transfer from Miami. Was one of the top JuCos to sign. He said its for personal/family reasons. He was really being counted on to make an impact. Big loss.
This is per Andrew Bone on twitter.

I covered it. It might've slipped to the second page, though.

TT - no mention of him giving up football all together.
Man, what type of family shite makes a guy drop out of free college and return to, I'm guessing, a hell hole like Miami?

Does he need a ride to Fayetteville?

He was interviewed after he signed and he talked about a tough upbringing. His brother was shot not too long ago. It doesn't help that he fell behind some of the other DBs he was expected to play over.

Maybe a loss for depth, but everything I read and heard the guy wasn't going to play much this season.
When you only have two to play two and one of those will be on the bench it is in your best interest to find somewhere you can play right away. Many of Saban's Juco transfers have worked out at Bama(Jessie, Cody, etc), but this one didn't. Best of luck to him.

Last time I saw him play was at the PGA Championship yesterday.

I'd much rather see a JuCo provide depth, and get his feet wet for next year, than have to count on freshmen out the gate.

It's easy to say "it's no big loss", but Dixon would have provided much needed depth at corner.
