FSU, Texas, and VT= overated

ESPN was saying yesterday that FSU was becoming comparable to LSU on the D line. With the talent there it is hard to argue. Just need to see the results now. Tired of all the hype.

What on earth is Oregon doing on the d-line list?

That O line was the only thing Sherman was exceptional at.

probably awesome on DL and mediocre on OL

LSU, Bama, and Oregon are the only teams on both lists. Only the first two are legit though

Texas' DL is not overrated. They are legit.

I thought I kept hearing how great the OL was going to be last year.

they were pretty fricking good in the run game but not so much in the pass game all the time. We lost a senior starter before the season last year and had to shift guys around. And play a lot of T-Bob Hebert. That senior starter is now back as the 6th man able to fill any position on the line.

Are you going by results or by what was predicted?

they are an enigma. notre dame also. they rank very high in recruiting every year and can't match by performance on the field. my only conclusions are...1)coaching and 2)unaccurate rankings. it would be no surprise to me to learn that both get "bumped" ratings.

I don't know where the O-line was ranked last year for LSU preseason, but I can tell you that they overachieved like crazy last season. They dominated all opponents in the second half except Bama, one of the best defenses of all time. It was basically a patchwork all season long, losing Josh D. before we ever played a down and having starters injured at various times all season long.

Jawja sounds about right on both lists

LSU was 14th on the OL last year.
