Arkansas went 10-3 with Casey fricking Dick as QB. Absolutely no way QB is the most important position.

Wow. No.

Barry Sanders says suck it while he runs by the defense 7 times to get his 3 yards.

Damn you, HG. I was going to say that. Instead, you get to have the cool post and I have to settle with my crappy post.

Runningback IMO. A RB can singlehandedly produce offensive yards. A QB, however, has to have receivers

Tell that to Cam Newton.

My pick: WR.

Nobody remembers Casey Dick or your 10-3 team that year (I believe you had 2 NFL RB's). However, Arkansas has respect because there past couple QB's. Would you take last 2yrs Arky against that 10 -3 team? Which one would you pick and my argument is done?

I need to clarify apparently. I was talking about a 1 on 1 game, with no O line, receivers, ect. just a RB who can only run or a QB who can only pass.

Just to clarify, college football is played with 22 on the field at a time. Your hypothetical is irrelevant.

Imo,

All positions are the most important position. If one guy makes a mistake or doesn't his job, the whole team suffers.

If a corner back gets burnt deep for a first down or a touchdown it doesn't matter how great the other 10 players are on that defense. If a running back misses a blitz pick up it doesn't matter if you have Payton Manning. He can't block and throw for himself at the same time.
