Props to him today for not pulling any punches. He basically said, we're not very good, I'm not going to blame the previous staff but they kind of fricked things up, it's going to take time to come back, not everyone has bought in yet and frick you Steve Spurrier.

KInda hard to be rah rah when you are the current coach of Ole MIss
mean no disrespect, but its common sense not to go in there trying to rile shite up when you're more than likely going to lose a majority of your games.

More then half the new coaches at programs in a shitty state of affairs come out and talk about how things are going to turn around and that they have high expectations for success NOW.

It would make sense if the new coaches were in charge of a great historical program where immediate turn around are needed to keep their jobs. But not at Ole Miss.

From what I understand, he's a very hard worker. He's quite innovative as well and I believe he was a good hire. Ole Miss is just gonna have to roll with some punches this fall and that's no fault of his.

Q. How do you view the city of Oxford as a recruiting tool?
quote:
COACH FREEZE: Well, have you ever been there? I'm sure you have. I could start and go for days. I'm glad you asked that. But people like Eli Manning and Michael Oher, Kendrick Clancy, Derrick Burgess, guys that are great ambassadors for not only Ole Miss and in the NFL doing very well, they choose to make that their living when they're not involved with their teams. I'm sure Eli could live anywhere he wanted to. I also saw Newsweek ranked Oxford as the number one college town in America. Sports Illustrated said we're the number one tailgate in the nation. Recruits, when they come there, they see a group of people that are very happy, that don't want to leave there. I think Oxford, Mississippi, is a great place to live. There's a lot of great places in the state of Mississippi, but I'd put that on the top. Where else could you go in the state of Mississippi where you find a town and university that is the home of three national championships, six SEC national championships, 13th all time in bowl wins, active in the nation and 20th in bowl appearances.
boom, still managed to sneak in a little shot too even though we suck
