Pet Peeve - One fanbase complaining about how bad ___'s fanbase is

It always annoys me hearing any fan of one team saying "Man, I hate (insert team)'s fans. They are the worst."
I've been to nearly every SEC venue for a football game with the exception of Columbia, SC and Fayetteville, AR (because we played them in LR), and all fan bases have their good and their bad. It's merely being at the right place at the right time or the wrong place at the wrong time. After so-and-so bad thing happens, it's then about what you make of it. You can either get pissed off and try to fight the jackass, or laugh it off and say wow, that guy/those guys are douche bags.
I've been to Gainesville and seen a grown man walking around taunting co-eds with a large fake penis hanging out of his jorts. I've seen two Arkansas fans holding each other on the back of a tiny motorized ice chest in Little Rock. I've seen vulgar signs and heard vulgar language every place I've been. I've seen fight after fight in you name it.
Every fan base has shitty fans and every fan base has good fans. Just deal with it.
Also nb4 I say this because I'm an LSU fan and we are the worst.

As much as I hate many ole miss fans, and as vile as many LSU fans are, Arkansas fans I've been around at games have always been the worst.

My thought on this is, if you're looking for the bad, you will find it. For every bad fan, there are probably 10-15 good fans that go unnoticed. And yet, the bad fan becomes the representative of the fanbase to whoever wants him or her to be.

Agreed... although I like to chalk this up to the Little Rock effect. Wish they would let us play in Fayetteville. I would gladly drive the extra distance. 5.5hr vs 8hr, no big deal...

agree 100%!!
i also hate when fans gauge how bad another fanbase is based on random, anonymous posters on message boards. it's just like gameday. usually there are many decent posters from all fanbases, but the bad ones are just really so flagrantly obnoxious that they overshadow the good fans.
