Is SEC baseball overrated?

Arkansas is still in it and S Carolina is going for number 3. I don't see it as overrated, just been a wild tourney so far.

Im not a big baseball fan, but i love all things SEC. From reading some posts back in May I assumed that the SEC was as dominant in baseball as football. I just saw Florida get bounced and LSU get sent packing by Stoney Brook and they got embarrassed. What is up with that?

Hard to say they're overrated currently when they've won 3 stated championships and is the only conference with 3 in the CWS this year and still have 2 alive.

No it's not overrated. Kent State and Stoneybrook are underrated.

it seems like in the past it would usually take an SEC team to eliminate the other SEC teams, now teams who have no tradition in baseball are knocking off the SEC favorites. i can't say that the SEC is down this year, because we had 3 teams in the CWS, but the quality SEC teams 1-12 is down. The bad ones are really bad, and the good ones don't seem as good as they were in the past. Maybe it's the bats. Something has changed.

LSU and South Carolina have won the last 3 CWS. The SEC got 3 teams in this year.

Baseball is based upon failure. Anything can happen, especially in college ball. 3 teams got in to the CWS. could have easily been 4.

Except for the fact that I think Bama baseball is the 2nd winningest team in SEC history.
So that correlation doesnt exactly work.
No doubt they've sucked for the last 2 years or so.

Im honestly not trying to flame or be funny, i just wanted some opinions. I know that LSU has a rich baseball tradition and so does USCe but I guess i was referring to this year alone. I know that every an SEC team has a shot, but i just think that this year so far has been a let down.

It's a funny game. I don't think what happened to LSU or UF necessarily makes them overrated. What conference is better anyway? I haven't really followed the CWS over the years, so I dunno what other conference sends teams to Omaha regularly.
