Funny how LSU is being accused of being the "scared" one for wanting equality in scheduling when it's Alabama who seems to be dead set on doing everything they can to institutionalize an easier path to Atlanta than either LSU or Auburn. And don't give me this Tennessee will be back nonsense because they aren't ever going to be as consistently good as Florida again and all of you know it.

It speaks volumes about how weak your position is that you have to go to that.

Amazing how none of you actually address the issue. You just jump straight to this kind of nonsense.

ETA: the next 2 responders did the same thing.

Now I gotta hear a bunch of Gumps boasting about kicking our wounded arses for 3 pages.

Holy fail. Bama isn't afraid of big games. Miles and Alleva are acting like huge twats though. I love how UF is feared by a superior program at the moment.

Bama has played Florida 6 times in the last 7 years. You think we should play them more than that?

Not your best bait brah.

I give it a 6 and 2 of those points are just because it involved Alabama.

Speaking of addressing the issue, did anyone ever answer why LSU is afraid of playing Florida every year?

"I want it to be fair," Miles said during the first day of the 2012 SEC spring meetings. "I don't want to lock in an Eastern-Western Division opponent that historically has won the conference and that those games make a difference in how you fare in the East and in the West." Basically, Miles said he doesn't want to see a team from the West play an Eastern Division team (or vice versa) that has historically succeeded every year and have it count toward the West race.

I disagree with Miles/Alleva here too. I LOVE playing Florida every year. I think we should keep doing it, win or lose.

I get what they are saying, though. LSU has a permanent opponent no matter what against the strongest team from the SEC East, while no other school in the SEC West has that. It gives the other schools an unfair advantage over LSU in that regard. Tennessee is in the same boat in being the only school from the SEC East that has to play Alabama. Florida is too in that they have to play LSU every year.

LSU is in a 10 year war with Alabama right now. Alabama has the advantage in scheduling in that they have to play Tennessee every year and LSU has to play Alabama. LSU is trying to equalize that by making the schedule more equitable. There is nothing wrong with that and I respect the administration for trying to do it. Who cares what the whiners from Alabama think about it? They like the situation because it benefits them, just like they enjoyed their pansy schedule last year and their back in to the championship game.

Bama doesn't want us to quit playing Fla just as bad as we want to end it.... they aren't stupid folks. Playing a weak azz TN team, while FL and LSU battle it out helps them tremendously in their eyes for winning the West. And, maybe a FL loss to LSU can help keep them from Atlanta...it goes both ways folks. They are scared of us to quit playing that game....admit gumps! I guarantee you Mr. Moore has had numerous converstations about this with Mr. Saban
